May be the strangest book I've ever read.
The writing style was painful and the poor rating on GR made me bail after only a few pages.

Well, this sure starts out creepy!
A Stephen King fan since junior high. And that was a looooong time ago!
Incredible memoir. We can never forget......Joe remains a man of God, full of joy and grace. May God bless him. I'm so glad he shared his story.
Fascinating read! Chilling. If you like real life mysteries, I highly recommend.
I just started the tagged book for the May OPL challenge. @Birdsong28
Oh, how I wanted to love this book. So much potential but the poor writing, the cast of ill defined, indistinguishable characters and omg book spoilers force me to pan this one. Ugh.
I did like Sarah and her reflections on reading but the wacky hijinks of the town were a bridge too far.
A go-to author for me going all the way back to the 80s! I'm originally from Minnesota, so I always enjoy the local references. I used to live in an apartment building down the (real) street from Davenport's (fictional) fancy house.
Eta....oops, I fact checked myself. I guess it was the 90s. Eyes of Prey published in 1991.
I love this so much as it speaks directly to a major book title pet peeve of mine. Women being defined in terms of someone else. My local library #opl
Only four chapters in and already the dread is almost unbearable. 😒
Just ok. A little too convoluted and clever for its own good. Seemed to take forever to get going, too.
Delightful! Lovely photos and fun inside scoop.
A little more than halfway with this one. It's very sweet and charming.
Such a gorgeous book! About to dive in!
Well this has been engaging. Only about 20% left per kindle's calculation.
I thought this was just ok. There were a few surprises along the way but sometimes it felt like a bit of a slog.
Gave up after reading about 75%. Just never got any traction with the story. Is it worth checking out the others in the series?
Oh, I've been eager to read this!
I was in NYC for a day a couple weeks ago. This was one of my souvenirs. The bookstore in Chelsea Market.
1. City
2. Beach
3. Snorkeling
4. Home
5. Tagged. Not sure it is "fun" but it's very engaging.

Started this one on the plane. Which, if you've read it, isnt the best place to read it! I guess the plane on the cover didn't really register for me.
t's a nice read. I'm not sure there's a lot of surprises ahead but it's very charming.
Read this in one sitting per the February OPL reading challenge prompt. I liked it! I couldn't image how he could conclude the story but it worked. Nice little read. @Birdsong28
Stephen King
Michael Connelly
John Sanford
Adriana Trigiani
This was almost a So-So for me as it initially was not grabbing me. It definitely picked up though and I ended glad I stuck with it.
1. I bailed on the tagged book.
2. Sweet!
3. Clarence, Ellen, Edmund, Amelia
4. Grease
5. NYC

It's times like this I want a spoiler. I tried really hard to engage with this book because it ticks all the boxes. But I just can't get into it.
If anyone cares to point me to a spoiler, I'd be ever so grateful....I read up to page 136 which is waaaaay beyond my usual bailing point.
So disappointed....
This is what happens when you go to the library hungry! 🤣
I've had this on Nook for ages. Time to get to it!
I loved this! Kaga is like a grown up, Japanese Encyclopedia Brown. Great fun and I'm eager for more translations of the series.
A new Higashino! If you've never read The Devotion of Suspect X or Salvation of a Saint, you are in for a real treat!
So disappointed. I'm bailing on this one. I felt no connection to the main characters and as a result the sex did not seem sexy at all. Moving on.....I'll sit over here all by myself with my unpopular opinion. Lol.
From the always excellent Mr. Connelly. I like Bosch and Ballard together in this book.
1. Dark, Sacred Night. The Red Queen. The Birth House. The Kiss Quotient
2. Decaf coffee (French press) with lots of cream
3. I rarely drink caffeine but I did have a Diet Dr. Pepper today.

Plane reading. Our book club's choice this month.
I want to finish this tonight so I dont have to haul it on the plane. Business trip tomorrow. Page 107 of 290. I dont know......
Things I have to request again because I couldn't get to them before the due date. #libraryproblems 😏
1. Originally from Minnesota. Been in Omaha, Nebraska since 2007.
2. Robyn Carr. Previously and unfairly discounted by me as grocery store books. She's quite good and her books are charming comfort reads.
3. At my current reading pace, about 20 years worth. And that's if I dont have any net gains! Lol hopeless
4. In bed or loveseat in the front room.
5. Cutting for Stone.

#OPL2019 Well, this should be fun! My new year's resolutions include more reading and less TV (although I'm madly hooked on Shameless right now). Spending time on Litsy and working this challenge will help.
So much fun! A twist on Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Loved the comedian archetypes. #2018
