Loved this book. Alot longer than the earlier books in the series but very well written and great storyline

I really enjoyed this book. After the dark & twisty thrillers, it was a much needed light mystery with a lot of fun. Bk3 in the Frey&McGrey series sees them battling Shakespearean actors, banshee sightings & Freys snobby relatives. And now I have finished my part in the #MrBook1InAMillion #LitsyPartyOfOne #24B4Monday #readathon. Yay!🎉 I didn‘t get the 48hrs I was hoping for, but I got over 40 which I‘m very happy with. I‘m loving this book, set in Victorian Edinburgh, it‘s part of a series about an uptight English Inspector & a supernatural hunting wild Scot detective.

I‘m baaack! Wasn‘t really feeling the Linwood Barclay today so I‘m trying out this ebook I borrowed from the library instead. This is Bk3 in the Frey&McGrey series and seems to be about Macbeth, banshees & Bram Stoker. I‘ve enjoyed the first two books & this one has great reviews on goodreads so here goes nothing. #LibraryHaul Bk3 in this series is another ebook on borrowbox. I‘ve never read on my iPad before, only my kobo, so we will see how my eyes like it. I‘m loving the covers! Theatre idols Henry Irving & Ellen Terry are to stage Macbeth in Edinburgh‘s Theatre. Before opening night though, bloody messages start appearing & the sound of a banshee is heard. A perfect read for a rainy evening. As always, Frey and McGray are highly entertaining. Although their cases are more on the grim and mysterious side of things, their banter eases things up with a lot of humor.

I picked this up from the library today, not realizing that this is the third book in the series, but I‘m going to read it anyway. I‘m really hoping nothing draws too much from the first two books, although the first few pages seem to be explaining a lot of background, so perhaps I won‘t be too lost! ☺️

1. I grocery shop once a week but that‘s because I moved back in with my parents for a little while and that‘s how they shop.
2. Either ranch or raspberry vinaigrette when I‘m feeling fancy.
3. I‘d much rather bake. I‘m better at baking than cooking by a long shot.
4. Not everyday, but I love sweet things.
5. Definitely Harry Potter. The food that would get described at the Hogwarts feast just sounds absolutely prime!
