pickA very interesting, exciting fantasy read! Zera is tasked to help stop an imminent war between the witches and the crown. She infiltrates the kingdom pretending to be a High Born and seeks out her prey, Prince Lucien. She must take his heart and jar it, claiming him as yet another Heartless for her witch. But when the time comes will she be able to subject him to the same cruel fate of hers, as a monster forever longing for her heart as her own?
pickSo amazing. I even stopped reading it for a day to hype up to a bad ending but was greatly surprised that it was amazing!!!!
The struggle is real with what this girl is going through. Freeing herself from a witches enslavement only to replace herself for a prince, whom she is falling for. Decisions, decisions.
so-soI did really enjoy this book, but there were a few plot points that seemed less than fully thought out, plus the main character was overly snarky sometimes, which dropped the rating somewhat (about 3.5 stars). It was a fun romp with a pretty detailed background world, and a super angsty romance (always a good time 😘). The MC is Heartless, meaning the she is a thrall of the witch that has her heart.She has to take the Prince's heart in order to ⬇️
An exciting surprise!! My #BookDrop arrived today!! I love this subscription and especially the YA one. I get an incredible mix of the fantasy that I love some months and more contemporary novels in other months.. it‘s really a great subscription service and a highlight of my month!! I‘m excited to dive into this book soon!
Ten pages in and I'm already in love with this female protagonist. Beautiful and badass...a true femme fatale! 😍📚💕

bailedBail. Utterly gorgeous cover here, but it's a kitchen-sink story told in eye-searing first-person narrative. Heroine seems to be a 70/30 mix of witty banter and existential loneliness, so fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer might want to hit this one up.

so-soThe best thing about this book is the dialogue — fabulously witty, fast-paced & so much fun. Everything else, though, was pretty predictable — even the romance. There were a lot of eye-roll-y bits, & I kept thinking of books that had done a similar plot but better — The Cruel Prince, or Warcross. Still, the wittiness of the MC, her relationship with the love interest was exciting & fast paced, which was enough for me to be entertained! ★★★½
#currentlyreading | seems like your typical Not Your Other Girl fantasy to me, but I‘m told the romance is ASFDKFSJFSJFSKGMCKKF, which is exactly what I‘m in the mood for. Let‘s go! #yalitsy

pickSuper fun YA fantasy about a snarky girl with no heart falling in love with a prince whose heart she must steal (literally) in order to get her own heart back. Some parts could have been better written, but the world building was really good and it was a fun, fast-paced read full of snark and I loved it. Can‘t wait for the sequel.❤️
