Bk1 of February is done. A reread of a book which is technically the 2nd Rizzoli & Isles novel but really is the first book with both Jane AND Maura involved. I loved it just as much this time around. Rizzoli is battered but unbent after her encounter with The Surgeon when a bee series of murders start. Then the unthinkable happens, Hoyt escapes from jail & joins forces with the new killer. Recommend👍 #BookspinBingo #SeriesRead2022 #Pop22👇
Really enjoying my reread of the first Rizzoli & Isles thriller. Keep trying to talk @Ciara_Rosey into reading them as she‘s obsessed with the tv show! Don‘t know if she‘ll like it but, the book Jane & Maura are very different to the tv ones.
Starting to get more of the characters from the show appearing in this one. Hoyt's comeuppance was better in the book than it was in the show. Need more character development soon.
A decent police procedural, and I'm glad Gerritsen did not dwell on psychological terror this time around.
Got some reading in for the first time in weeks. I am probably going to stick to easy reading for the duration of this soft quarantine.
The second Rizzoli & Isles and Isles finally made a decent appearance, although not a main character yet. This was somewhat of a sequel to the first in that Hoyt made another showing. Gerritsen sometimes gets too technical for me with the forensics, but is always engaging with the tension and action.
“In some ways, we‘re all weird.” “Yeah, but we‘re normal weird. Joey‘s got like, no normal in his weirdness.” 🤣🤷🏻♀️📚🎶
Always enjoyed the TV show for Rizzoli and Isles. Now I'm Finally getting to the book side of things.

I bought myself a little early Christmas gift...or a holiday bonus gift, since I've been working crazy hours, even on my day off. I deserve these books, right?! 😁

Oh, Rizzoli, living in a man's world sucks. I love how strong and capable you are. You go girl!
4/5⭐️ - This was one of those books where you have to leave the lights on and can‘t read too close to when you go to bed. It was just the right amount of suspense and drama that you expect from a crime novel. So glad that this is a series because the main character is also amazing!
First up...cheddar cheese corn muffins. #Thanksgivingprep #readingandbaking
Finished this last night only to discover my library doesn't have book 3! I so wanted it to read on my flight today. I'm hooked!
#RedBooks - Autumn Colors 🍂 Here are some red books on my shelves. #OctoberLibrary17
Detective Jane Rizzoli thought that the nightmare is over when she locked the Monster up. But a Detective call her asking for help when he‘s being called to investigate the case. Jane knew something is wrong and something similar with the staging of the murders. What happen when The Surgeon meet his partner in crime? Beware of the detailed descriptions of the crime. Disturbing and dark. #thriller #series #suspense
It really has been a #toughtuesday so I am drinking some wine 🍷 and watching Rizzoli & Isles! #awesomeautumnbooks
I loved the surgeon and this is a great follow up, written in the authors trademark gory style, her books aren't for the faint hearted! Fast paced, plenty of twist and turns and you never know what's going to turn your stomach next. Absolutely brilliant as always!
I finished The Apprentice today while being creative. It was good, but so.many.clichés! Like, why is the main character always getting in trouble? It's getting old 😐 Oh well, I'll continue with the next book in the series right away 🙂
My first thriller years and I had so much fun reading it and want to read more of this genre now. It was a good story, thrilling and I liked the characters. I want to meet Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles very soon again.
Good night. Sleep tight.
Snuggeling up with a thriller and a hot black tea. Tess Gerritsen let me stay up in the night so I'm already halfway through the book. The first thriller I'm reading in years and I like it - a lot.
This is Tess Gerritsen, author of the Rizzoli and Isles series of books. The Apprentice was one of those books that left a lasting impression on me. It was super creepy. I recommend this series. #pocauthors #somethingforsept
