Sarah Dessen's #moon titles both take place in the same small town. Anyone have a favorite of her books? #Sun #OppositeDay

Emaline endures her last summer at Colby.
To me, it feels like Emaline is more of a side character detailing the MC‘s lives around her. Clyde‘s story was the best and would have loved to hear his point of view, but then it would not be a Sarah Dessen book.
A good month of enjoyable reading. I saw someone on here talking about “hibernating” books and loved that thought. 🐻
Love, love, love all her books. Just the right amount of romance, teen issues, mild drama, and plot twists. I think I have read everything she's written!!
#Hour30 challenge is all about YA so you know I‘m talking about Sarah Dessen! I‘ve had my copy of The Truth About Forever since graduating 5th grade (I‘m 26 now if that gives you context). Her newer books hit so close to home and I‘m loving it and can‘t wait to read more ❤️

When I first read this book, I loved the story. But now I love the relationship between Emaline and her mother. It‘s one I aspire to have with my own daughter. All the characters are written in such a funny way, really make you want to cheer them on.

Well that‘s a wrap! Only finished one book, but now I have records to beat for the next #24in48! This was great, I really loved doing this, and the challenges. thanks for hosting @24in48 !!

I think if I can make it to 12 hours I‘d be pretty impressed with myself. I‘m already happy that I‘m moving faster through these books than before. Who knows, I may finish my #DessenNewYear before the end of the month. A girl can dream right?

Will I make it to 24 hours? At this rate who knows. But I really do like this challenge. I‘ve got 4 or 5 more chunks in the day to meet my goal.
The Moon and More is another story I really love, and from my memory, less frustrating characters. I do seem to enjoy Dessen‘s novels with older characters (girls going off to college) than her younger characters (girls just starting high school).

I love reading Dessen's stories - It is the summer before Emaline moves away to college. She is working for the family realty business, working through her relationship with her biological father and is roped into to assisting a documentary crew seeking to interview a local artist. I wish Dessen had gone a bit more into Emaline's tendency to say yes to helping everyone, but man, did I relate. A lovely YA story.
This book was a nice easy read, the only downside was that the plot dragged on a bit. I loved the very human experience the characters went through but LUKE OH MY GAWD WHY WOULD YOU GO TO TALLYHO!!?? Luke cheated on Emmeline with a TOURIST!! And then Emmeline started dating Theo and he was just an entire problematic storm all on his own. But yeah, great job Sarah Dessen.
Mamma Mia, here I go again! Third time reading this book and I'm almost finished! For a romance book, there's not a lot of romance, but it exists perfectly all on its own.

Tonight‘s reading. A chapter or 2 of HP (I‘m not really connecting with this book at all!) and then starting yet another Sarah Dessen. I‘m getting close to finishing her backlist and that makes me sad.
1. Being with my husband and my fur babies makes me so happy and of course books, getting new books, reading books, etc.
2. The quaint and welcoming little fictional town of Colby from Sarah Dessen's novels where the summers are magical and there is always something to do and someone to hang out with. (Summer romance guaranteed)!
3. Pop! Pepsi preferably
4. We try to go camping at least once a year.
5. Oh man. This is a hard one. Drizzly rain.

I love re-reading books I was obsessed with in high school. ❤
Spent half my gift card tonight at B&N. One reason I like buying YA is for some reason they‘re cheaper!!
Getting some quality puppy snuggles and some afternoon reading. I'm on the wait list for the new Sarah Dessen- so something old a familiar will have to do for now. #currentlyreading #dogsoflitsy
I actually don't have any books with #APlanetInTheTitle but I love the moon, even though it's not a planet I think it counts. Here's a pic I took a couple weeks ago, it's with my phone so not the best pic.

I've been reading Sarah Dessen books since I was 15. There's always something that feels like coming home when I read them, so I may be biased when I rate them. If you know a girl who is graduating from high school this year, I feel like this would be a perfect book for her. Comparing other SD novels, I really really liked the ending and that it was different from her other novels.
I am a huge Sarah Dessen fan and have read most of her books except this one. Honestly this book is probably my least favorite of her books. It was good but it lacked the spark that her other books had.

Book mail!!! I've been on a book buying ban for awhile and went a little crazy buying books with my Amazon settlement. I have three more books on the way lol.
This was so delightful. I would say this is my favorite main character Dessen has written since "The Truth About Forever." What's great here is that the characters don't throw any curveballs, they stay true to who they are.
Sarah Dessen always makes me nostalgic for things I never knew I wanted.
When Helter Skelter gets too.... "Helter Skeltery," a little Sarah Dessen goes a long way.
"It's an incredibly under appreciated member of the brass family"
Breakfast with Sarah Dessen before work 📚 I'm only fifty pages in and it's pretty good so far!
