I can‘t believe it took me the entire book to realize the title was a Dear Evan Hansen reference. This was such a cute romance! I loved the idea of them trying to find each other in New York. I also would 100% read a spin-off from someone else‘s perspective. 5⭐️
So! I read this book a while ago but absolutely loved it! I also think I read the duo backwards.. but oh well! From the start of this book I was hooked and ending up lending it to a few people to see their reaction of it. It is an incredibly well written story which shines the light onto two LGBT+ characters… Arthur and Ben. It was extremely captivating and I could not put this book down at all. ❤️
What if its us is a book that portrays Ben and Arthurs love life and how the universe os trying to both keep them apart and bring them together. Arthur is new to New York and is spending the summer there with his family due to his mother owning a law firm or a branch of the firm. Ben is a true New Yorker who is attending summer school. Their first encounter was at a post office where Ben was dropping off his ex boyfriends stuff.
I loved this book so dang much. Ben and Arthur, you both have my heart. This book was funny and absolutely memorable. 📦📦📦📦📦

Very very cute YA romance. I like how they both learned how to have honest conversations and develop a healthy relationship. I‘m looking forward to reading the sequel. Thank you for the loan!
I need Becky & Adam to write EVERYTHING I ever experience from now on?? Their words sing together and paint such raw teens with really big love and messy feelings. I felt so frustrated at their fights but didn‘t expect them to solve it in any other way. Plus, I simultaneously want to be Dylan and have a best friend like him. I love love loved this little cheesy universe they created and don‘t ever want to leave its massive splendor 💕
What a cute romance that encapsulated all the butterflies of meeting someone new, getting to know that person and developing a deep connection with them. Ben was my favorite. I enjoyed his steadfastness.
June Book 6/25 #LitsyLove #bookspinbingo
summer romance between Ben and Arthur as they go on dates around NYC. super quick and easy read and it was so cute.
I loved this in print, but the audiobook was SO much better!
My #PrideMonth pick! I definitely need to introduce more #LGBTQ content into my library. I am so excited for this one! Adam Silvera just knows how to punch you right in the heart-feels! 💘
A cute YA book. Arthur will meet Ben during the summer in some strange circumstances, maybe the universe wanted to connect them? You need to read the story to understand this phrase. Many things will happen that summer between these two characters from different backgrounds. I think they resolved their life situations very well taking in consideration their age, communication is the clue. Funny YA scenes and I liked the end, was different.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow. This was such a delightful, joyful, relatable, quirky, wonderful read. I laughed out loud on airplanes. I reminisced about my own first love and friendships. It made me fall in love with reading all over again, and I ordered the sequel immediately!
A few pages in and I'm already laughing! 😂
Also, are you normal or do you also take photos of sections of text because you want to remember them (because they are funny, educational, inspirational, well-written, etc)? My phone is full of photos like this and I'm pretty confident I hardly ever revisit them.
I saw this book so much on booktok I knew I had to read it, and I‘m so glad I did. It was SO great to read a queer romance novel that wasn‘t focused on or involving one of the characters coming out. A super cute, fun read. A feel good book for sure. Very excited for the sequel
This was a quick read. I couldn‘t put it down. That being said, I‘ve read better. I know there is a sequel out there and I do plan on reading it as well. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
God, the highs and lows felt so real in this book. Becky and Adam did an incredible job creating these characters and helping them all finally connect by the end of the book. Ben/Arthur forever! #yalit
I read this because my teen daughter loved it and wanted me to. It did what I most wanted it to which was that we had a couple good conversations about stuff that can otherwise be awkward to talk about. Books are great for me to understand my teens better. The book was very cute, but it needed more conflict at points. However I am definitely not the target audience. 😊
Everything Becky Albertalli writes makes me happy! I'm so excited for the sequel out at the end of this year. I found the characters pretty relatable and love how her characters always feel so real. Their love story is so cute, and the friendship groups were fantastic
This is such a cute book! ❤️ I immediately put the sequel on my wish list to preorder (and I‘m glad there‘s a sequel because I want more!). Ben, in the midst of mailing a box back to his recent ex, runs into Arthur. They don‘t exchange numbers and barely exchange names, and so begins the hunt for each other as they realize they might have missed out on something magical. Will it be just a summer adventure, or true love?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Next month‘s book club book theme is LGBTQ, and since I can‘t control myself I have 3 books and 1 one on the way that I want to read! So starting now! #currentlyreading
Only 2 days late but wanted to do this one. 🙂
1. Yes, I love YA. I plan to read at least 2 this month.
2. Tagged. Most recent ya I read—Sweet m/m teen romance.
3. Age of MCs

I have loved one of Albertalli‘s books & liked the other 2. I haven‘t read Adam Silvera before. I loved this story they co-wrote about 2 high schoolers who meet-cute & fall in love within a few weeks while one is in town w/ his family. There‘s high school drama & funny friends. The ending is realistic, & I‘m now excited because there‘s going to be a sequel next December. This is my #doublespin for April. @TheAromaofBooks
Adorable story. Switched back and forth with the audiobook, which was narrated well. Glad that it shows levels to YA relationships while still having the intensity of a first love.
This is my #bookspin for this month. Book 2 of #bookspinbingo
@TheAromaofBooks
Cute and fluffy! Nothing new here - but sometimes you need a light, quick read to cleanse the palate.

I absolutely loved this book. I don't usually enjoy realistic fiction novels but I have to say this was an excellent read. To anyone who loves romance novels with a bit of drama, I would highly recommend What If It's Us. Becky Albertalli has made two very well developed and different main characters. This makes the book so much more interesting because we get to see how they interact with eachother. Overall this was an amazing read. @MrsBabki
1. Being so far away from my family after we moved to MS for my husband's post doc. I haven't seen any of them in person since December 2019.
2. Cuddles with my fur babies! 🐱🐱🐱🐶
Thank you Emily and Karen for the tag! 💕

What if it‘s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera is a wonderful story about a guy named Arthur who is taking an internship at his own mother‘s law firm for the summer. It couldn‘t get any worse, he still gets lost in the streets and he misses his best friends from home; until everything changed. Arthur ran into this really cute guy at the post office, ‘Box Boy‘, and it just so seems that Box Boy is getting rid of his ex boyfriend‘s things.
Such an amazing book to read! Highly recommend! Such a cute love story!
Happy Ace Week! Shout out to the tagged book for being the first time I have seen asexual rep in fiction earlier this year. 💯 🖤🤍💜
I absolutely loved this book. What a beautiful story. I think you should definitely pick this book up if you want to feel happiness and read a gorgeous love story. Well done authors.
Dear What If It‘s Us,
It‘s not you. It‘s me. You are a cute, sweet, somewhat sappy teen romance story. But I am a cynical, middle-aged woman, and your story is a bit too saccharine sweet, too much teen drama, too Disney-happily-ever-after for me.
I appreciate the representation, but I found myself rolling my eyes too many times. I can‘t pan it, because it was too sweet, but this book was too YA for me.
I decided to do the #100day challenge (1 mile a day for 100 days). I thought it‘d help me start a good habit the last quarter of this year. And so I broke down & got an Apple Watch. Something about making the circles close is rather motivating.
So since I was starting #100days today, I decided to make it more fun by #audiowalking. I needed a romance for my rapid readers September board.
It‘s a win-win-win.
Some photos from my #audiowalk
Harry Potter aside, this is my first YA novel I‘ve read and I absolutely loved it! Such a fun read about first love amongst two teenage boys and the obstacles the universe throws at them. A thoroughly enjoyable read with wonderful and witty characters!
And for what it‘s worth, the sexual identity of @beckyalbertalli is irrelevant...she along with @adamsilvera, wrote a great book!
A few times, I almost bailed on this book. Each time, it was one character that appeared so desperate, jealous and clingy that I would want to stop. What kept me going was the other character's plot of the story and my general interest on how the end played out.
#bookspinBINGO still going for a blackout!
This is an adorable YA M/M summer romance. I know those are two things I usually avoid (YA and romance), but this was a sweet, well narrated #audiobook. Nothing earthshaking, but if you enjoyed Naomi and Ely‘s No-Kiss List, you‘ll probably like this too.

2. Yes, Las Vegas and Tucson area

June Wrap Up!
I had a slow month that I will blame on reactivating my WOW account and getting 2 sinus infections back to back that knocked me on my butt. I am in progress with 3 books currently and I did bail on 4 books.
Best Read : What If It's Us

5/5 ⭐️ I loved this rom-com! It seems like a lot of gay stories are coming out stories and I enjoyed that this was their lives after. Ben and Arthur are the cutest and I need more of them! The rumor about a sequel better be true!
Oh my stars!!! This book was sooo cute!!! I loved every second of it. I am not sure why but as I was reading/listening I sort of imagined Kurt and Blaine from Glee, if they had met in New York or at college instead of in high school. The only problem with this book?!? It ended!!! I wanted more!!!! However I have to wait until 2021 to find out what happens. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!
