I had a nice birthday 🎂 party yesterday with my friends and lots of wine 🍷. Being 22 years old is alright so far. In the next days, I will hopefully be able to relax after all my university work is done and celebrate with my parents 😊.

So, two and a half weeks ago, I ordered The Broken Earth Trilogy at my local bookstore. As expected, they didn‘t have it in stock, so I waited.

And waited.

Anyway, yesterday I asked at the store and they told me that no delivery is to be expected soon, so I canceled my order and instead bought the trilogy at Amazon.

Which tbh s*cks b/c I wanted to support my store and not a greedy company 😫.

Now I don't need to wait for our libraries to start interlibrary loan back up to read the rest of the series. I'm thinking about starting over from the beginning and reading it all...

#NuYear #day5 #Observer This whole trilogy is narrated observer-style by a character that is incognito at first, it takes a while to figure out who it is. It‘s not till maybe the third novel you fully get exactly who they are and their role in not just the now of the Season, but of the then of the Shattering. I‘m almost finished the last novel & it‘s one of the most unique & best fantasy trilogies I‘ve read.

I'm loving this trilogy. I'm almost done with the third book, The Stone Sky, and can't wait to read more of N K Jemisin.

Can't wait to start #thestonesky. I usually only read one book per year just because I'm a slow reader but I've finished these two in the past month.
