Repost for @Soubhiville

Here is the big announcement #AuthorAMonth readers! Here are our 2025 authors!

The most votes went to Leigh Bardugo this year, then Kate Quinn, then Octavia Butler, so she is included as a repeat author.

juliegumdrop If I wanted to read something by Ammaniti, what should I read first? What‘s your favorite by him? 6y
La_Cori @juliegumdrop my first Ammaniti's novel was "I'm not scared" and it's a good book to discover his writing style.. My favourite is "Steal you away". I hope you'll read one of them and you'll like it! ? 6y

These were the eleven (yes, I'm a rebel who can't follow the rules) I thought of as I sat down to write out the list. I did try and discard classics since everyone already knows of them but since Austen is my favorite, I had to include her no matter what. #top10authorrecommendations

@jenniferw88 tagged me for the #10authorrecommendations prompt. Thank you! In no particular order, here are the 10 authors I thought of right away...a mixture of classic, mystery, historical and nonfiction authors, representing the many facets of my reading interests.

Anyone wish to play too who has not been tagged? Join in!

Andrew65 I enjoy M C Beaton's work, especially Hamish! 7y
Librarybelle @Andrew65 I've read all of Hamish and am still working on Agatha Raisin. I have a soft spot for Hamish, so he's my favorite of the two, but Agatha is cantankerous enough for me to consider her a very, very close second. 7y
Andrew65 I'm about four off finishing the Agatha Series (up to date) and can't help liking her. 7y
See All 9 Comments
Librarybelle @Andrew65 I'm not quite halfway through Agatha's series...some of the scrapes she gets in are hilarious! 7y
Andrew65 @Librarybelle Most Definitely, can leave you laughing out loud. M C. Beaton close to making my list. 7y
Abailliekaras I just bought a Louise Penny after she was recommended on Two Crime Writers and a Microphone. Looking forward to it! 7y
Librarybelle @Abailliekaras I absolutely love her books! I hope you enjoy it! 7y
SilversReviews Nice List. I have only read Louise Penny. 7y

RadicalReader @TrishB what has been your all time favorite book of 2017 that you‘ve curled up with and why? 7y
TrishB @RadicalReader so far probably Assassin's Fate by Robin Hobb as it was the final one in a series of 9. It was awesome, sad and the end of an era. 7y

Andrew65 Agree with many of yours. (edited) 7y
Cinfhen I love your choices, especially Ms. Hoffman!!! 7y
LeahBergen A marvellous list!! 7y
Cathythoughts I really must try Karin Slaughter! She‘s getting pushed up TBR 7y
TrishB @Cathythoughts they can be quite graphic - but the storylines are brilliant. The Grant County/Will Trent ones are amazing 👍 7y
Cathythoughts Thanks , that‘s helpful. I‘ll try the first one. 👍 7y
