Crimezone.nl *****

it's a great “beach read“, ya know? very fun and dramatic, but not a serious book. good for when you're in the mood for something light.

I wouldn't say this was my favourite Dan Beown book as i felt the plot was a little bit predictable. However, i did enjoy the read 🌟🌟🌟

Well written book with a good amount of suspense and thrill. Though I could guess a few twists, the book was a very good entertainer. I would recommend it to all those who reads novel for a pure enjoyment rather than for criticism...

Dan Brown is always entertaining. So many twists and turns. The story always keeps you thinking and is enticing until the end. Interesting parallels with today‘s governmental influence of control of information.

Dove into Mr. Brown's backlist this morning over breakfast. 😋

Already 10 chapters in & I'm loving it.
It has strong 'Langdon' vibes but set in high stakes technology arena. (Think NSA & national security)

Or perhaps I feel that bc it's narrated by the same guy who reads all the Robert Langdon books- I love his voice. 👂👍

Have a feeling I'll be finishing this one fairly quickly! 🤓

Zelma Mr. Z just devoured Origin. I will recommend this one to him when he needs another Dan Brown. 6y

I am a Dan Brown fan and I've loved 'Angels and Demons' and 'Da Vinci Code'. Digital Fortress is an exciting and thought-provoking debut from author Dan Brown. With nonstop action and a fascinating plot Digital Fortress is an example of the techno-thriller at its very best. I have mixed opinion about the ending. It was good but didn't have the WOW factor like the other books. I personally feel being a debut novel, it was quite good.

I am a big Dan Brown fan. This is his first novel and it shows. Although the book has a great pace with non-stop action, much of what transpires is fueled by coincidence. While a cryptographer struggles to decipher an unbreakable code, her fiancé is sent to Spain to retrieve a ring that holds the key. There‘s a great deal going on with the the two tales and the security of the U.S. hangs in the balance. Plausibility is at a minimum here.

It's a fun read as long as you :
A) don't mind that the main female character is of course very smart but also has to be very attractive,
B) are willing to overlook a few incohérences and too many coincidences in the story,
C) remember that it was written when Netscape was the best tool for 'websearch'...

This was a reread from high school, and I definitely enjoyed it more when I was 14. It was a little predictable and anticlimactic to me. Hard core Dan Brown fans might enjoy this, but everyone else might want to skip it
