I found #2 slightly harder to read than Outlander. I don‘t know if it was the setting or what, but it went really slowly for me. I enjoyed the story, of course but this isn‘t my favorite season either, so maybe that‘s part of the reason. I hate the distance between Jamie and Claire during this book, wished there were more romantic scenes between them. I find Roger‘s point of view very refreshing and enjoyed his parts a lot. Ready for #3!

I'm at the Falkirk chapter, in the little kirk on the hill, and I just had to stop and take a break. There are people around, and there's no way I can read without turning into a sobbing puddle of jelly. 😥😭 I keep telling myself the characters aren't real, but it's no use. I can't wait to buy and then start reading this book.. I have read the first volume and I loved it and then I started watching the TV series 😊

I will definitely be needing this quote, as I'm nose-deep in trying to survive med school 😂 Nevertheless, WHAT a book. At one point it took priority over dinner. I'm not quite done yet, though. But what a book, I'm caught like fish in a net.

Listening to this while I drive to Colorado. I was hoping to have more time to read this last week but things kept coming up. I brought 3 books with me, here's hoping I finish one or two!

Undoubtedly a guilty pleasure and a fun way to learn about the Scottish Highlands. I‘m also enjoying the television series where the actor that plays Jamie Fraser is very easy to look at 😂 My only complaint is that the novel was a bit long and the books only seem to get longer in the series. This is number 2 and I believe the author is up to number 9!

#FallIntoBooks Day 29: Ok, ok fine. I admit it. I heart Jamie Fraser. He is #Crush -able indeed, at least based on the tv series. Haven't even started on the books yet.

Didn't like this one as much as the first book. I found the frame narrative a bit annoying. I didn't really like the parts that happened in the present. Still a fun book!
