Y‘all. The hubs just took me to an Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy in Charlotte. It was epic. If it tours near you, I highly recommend!

Any other Netflix You fans? I‘ve read a few books mentioned in the first three seasons of the series. Today I read this short story mentioned in S4, E1 for the first time. It is just a few pages and I found it on Cloud Library.

Did some Edgar Aleen Poe reading.
Read 2 short stories:
•The Tell Tale Heart
•The Black Cat
3 Poems:
•O, Temporary! O, Mores!
•The Haunted Palace
•Spirits of the Dead
I enjoyed the first short story since it's a popular one. The second short story was good but a little violent (deals with animal abuse). The poems were fun to read, especially The Haunted Palace.
Overall, 4 ⭐

🎧📚 A classic! I read it and even listened to it twice!
I love this short story and so many things it has spawned!
My favorite is an audio on Sound Cloud (I think it‘s available to all for free) Vincent Price narrates it. I LOVE old B&W horror classics & he was one scary man!
What a duo!! Edgar Allen Poe & Vincent Price. This is an ancient story that holds up today!
I love Spooky-tober! 🖤 💀 👻
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘ve been wanting to read this short story for so long and couldn‘t remember who wrote it until just recently ❤️
Happy Halloween! I'm curling up with the "master of the macabre." How about you?
It's the perfect time of year for a re-read of The Tell-Tale Heart from my Steampunk Poe book! 💀
Creepy old Poe!!
This short story gets me every time. I love how the unidentified narrator tries to convince readers he is sane for killing an old man, then chops up his body and hides it under the floorboards!
When the police show up, he can still hear that heart beat? Can the police? Do they already know he did it?
Note: Personal picture of house renovations just a few short months ago!
The first time I‘ve read the Tell-Tale heart was back in highschool- and it still haunts me! Truely brilliant horror story! Can‘t wait to discover the other two stories in the book, hopefully they‘ll be as intriguing as the first one😍👻
Well, here‘s my attempt at the #HalloweenHaiku (5-7-5). My first time ever writing a haiku, so bare with me here. Thanks @Pruzy for the tag.
I just had had to post it under one of my favorite Poe short stories. I remember reading it when I was 12 and being creeped out by it.
I guess I will tag @KennethTolesJr @BooksForEmpathy @MrBook @BookishMarginalia and invite them to share a Halloween Haiku with us. 😁
The picture was a google search.
Creepy and fascinating...wonderfully evil and beautifully written...
It's the perfect time of year to listen to dramatic horror readings. This one is read by Christopher Lee. He does my favorite Poe readings. ☠️

Thank you Rachael for such a wonderful thoughtful birthday present! You are such an amazing friend 😘 the birthday card gets a post of its own for its absolute awesomeness 📚❤️😘
This short story is one of my favourites, brings me back to elementary school were I first read it. Trying to convince me that your not crazy, that makes you a pretty #unreliable narrator to me. #maybookflowers
