A cosa servono i versi se non a quella notte in cui un pugnale amaro ci esplora, a quel giorno, a quel crepuscolo, a quel cantuccio offeso dove il cuore stremato delluomo si prepara a morire? P. Neruda ( 1904-1973)

A day late, but I really liked this week‘s edition 😊

1. “Si nada nos salva de la muerte, al menos que el amor nos salve de la vida. If nothing can save us from death, then at least may love save us from life.” - Pablo Neruda.
2. I am enough.
3. When you don‘t give up, you cannot fail.
4. Alright, alright, alright.
5. 💕💕💕

There's a bit of a mystery surrounding Pablo Neruda's death in 1963. The official report was that he died as a result of prostate cancer, but the outside expert consensus seems to be that that was a lie. Some say he was poisoned by secret service agents. (Sorry if this is a little morbid, but I just learned about it.)

@Cinfhen @vivastory

RaimeyGallant Secret Service agents are the worst. ;) 6y
vivastory I've heard about this. It is a bit suspicious. What is maddening is the case of Roque Dalton, where the people responsible for his death are walking around free 6y
readordierachel @vivastory Wow. That is awful! 6y

Cinfhen No, thanks for sharing!!! I love political intrigue!!! 6y
batsy Not morbid at all. I've heard about this and I'm totally convinced it's a cover up... 6y
readordierachel @Cinfhen It's a wild story. I wonder if we'll ever find out exactly what happened. I agree with @batsy that it definitely seems like a cover up 6y
Cinfhen Definitely want to read more about it! 6y

A fun little quiz for #poetrymonth! Which poet are you, fellow Littens? 🤔 Link 👇🏻

https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/which-poet-are-you/?ref=PRHCFCE2E59AB&aid=ran...

wanderinglynn I‘m Emily Dickinson! 😀 7y
night_shift I got Emily Dickinson: "You're independent and very private. You tend to stay out of the limelight, but focus your attention on books and nature. Nothing that a good book outside can't fix." I don't write or read much poetry, so I didn't know what to pick on that question asking to choose a collection, but this is pretty spot on either way ? 7y

One of my favorite works of Pablo Neruda and my ultimate favorite sonnet. I'll say Yes to whomever will recite this poetry. 😂 Ah, it is good to be in love with family and friends. 😍

That SO maybe ...still at lost or on his way 😅..

Happy Valentine's Day! 😊
