I‘m sorry this is so late @PuddleJumper but I have finally got round to checking my #roll100 books for April! Here they are. I‘m not sure which one I will choose yet but I‘m hoping to fit it in with #thingsincommon this month so I‘ll see what link I can find!

PuddleJumper No worries! Looks great, some interesting books to pick from 3y
Magpiegem @PuddleJumper yes three very different ones! Xx 3y
BookBabe I read Luckiest Girl Alive several years ago, and found it VERY disturbing 😵 3y

A deeply tragic and impressive biography. While some may take issue with the way Cross interprets certain events, I think this book gives the best and most honest perspective on who Kurt was — a son, musician, husband, and dad.

Was inspired to review this book from a recent post from @TheNeverendingTB. that includes Nirvana. This is the exact type of bio I like. You get a glimpse in to Cobain‘s early life and a good amount about his career and outlooks on life. As someone who is really fascinated by Cobain‘s life, this pick was a no brainer. If you‘re interested in Kurt Cobain and the early 90s Seattle grunge scene, it‘s a good read.

TheNeverendingTBR Sounds good, I'd never heard of this one until now; thankya!! #stacked 🙋‍♂️📚 4y

I remember gobbling up Cross' biography of Kurt Cobain when it came out about 15 years ago, but realize some of its flaws now. Especially the "creative license" Cross took with describing Cobain's final days and moments. Does such blatant fiction belong in a non-fiction book? What say you, Littens? #rockinmay #heaven #withthelightsoutitslessdangerous #herewearenowentertainus

Cinfhen Not cool 😬😖 8y

I heard "Breed" today on the way to work, so this seemed an appropriate pick for today's prompt.

I'm now 11 years older than Kurt Cobain was when he died. Time is trippy.

cathysaid Have you read/listened? Looks good... 8y
dariazeoli @cathysaid I read it a long time ago and unfortunately didn't rate it! If I recall it's pretty good. 8y
cathysaid @dariazeoli Thanks! I'll give it a shot. 👍 8y

I think it was the drug abuse that just turned me off on this one. He was someone who should have stuck it out when he sought help but depression just pulled him under. I love a variety of music but when you create a song that makes a rapist not the bad person just not my cup of tea.

In my continued effort to read parallel books, I'm reading a book about Kurt Cobain a bit after finishing one about River Phoenix. The men died within months of each other, and as River's chronicler said, "There was only room for one blond angel." So far the audio is better on Cobain's, but River's story is more compelling. Reserving full judgment until the end.

Decayy I was reading this (actually finishing it) on my english class 8 years ago and I couldn't control myself and I cried so much that everyone laughed at me for crying after a book. If you're not that big fan of Nirvana or Kurt, it will be an okay book. Just a regular biography. 8y
Megabooks @Decayy I'd call myself a casual fan but interested in his life. My friend from college, Jonas, was a huge collector and trader of live shows. Now, he's an entertainment lawyer and records live shows for NYC Taper at night. I loved the stuff I listened to with him, but not enough to turn me into a super fan. 8y
Cinfhen Both of those books sound fascinating ❣️ 8y
