This review is for the audiobook. I really enjoyed this one. I liked that it was performed by the author. This is a pretty dark story; I thought she did a good job of expressing the characters‘ emotions and even made me laugh a little with her occasional bit of humor. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A quick google search revealed that this quote actually comes from the tagged book and not from Alice in Wonderland, but all the same, I really like it.

I am severely Book hungover after finishing The Tattooist of Auschwitz last night... I can‘t even fathom words to write a review. It‘s hellish. It‘s left me feeling I need a break from war fiction and nonfiction and maybe I need to read something fantastical and moreish like Dracula (which I lost my copy of so can‘t!) I also keep looking at my #ConanDoyleSwap gifts on the side and really wanting to keep them! I need to ship them ASAP 🤣 #shelfie

You ever hesitate to write a review on Goodreads because you‘re afraid the author might see it?
I liked one storyline of this book much better than the other. But I suspect the portion I didn‘t like was based closely on events from the author‘s life.
I didn‘t want to say that I didn‘t like what she wrote about her life on Goodreads. So I just said nothing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I really enjoyed this book, right up until the end. I LOVED the ending at the Victorian Asylum! The ending at the modern day facility disappointed me a bit but overall this was a book I very much enjoyed reading! NOTE: I just read straight through and did not play the game ... I will probably reread the book and follow all the clues and see if I can solve the hidden puzzle!🤓

This book is free on Kindle for a few days. I recommend it if you like the insane. Emilie Autumn is one of my favorite musicians and she's the type of dark and amused feminist that I really appreciate. She always seems like she is herself without apology while managing to be theatrical at the same time.

@DuckOfDoom My review of TAFWG: A haunting, well written book of EA‘s own experience within a psych ward and behind closed doors horrors of a Victorian asylum from the perspective of fictional Emily ( with a ‘y‘). This story gets a pick rating. 🤘🏻

I‘ll be re-reading at slower pace and make an effort to gain access to the hidden portals scattered throughout the ebook version.

About half way through this and really enjoying it. Does anyone else have the kindle version with the bonus puzzles? Not been following them on this read through but excited to take part in the future

A hidden gem on the #copyrightpage. Often ignored, I may make it a habit to read that part of a book more.

This was a fantastically weird and creepy book. I cared more for the 'flashback' passages than the Emilie Autumn pseudo-biography bits but overall this novel was really really good. As for the ending (don't worry- no spoilers): Again, the Victorian plot strand's ending was great, almost magical while the present-day-ending was a little weird. Still, this is definitely a pick!

I was nominated by @Sarah83 and @SoniaC to post #fivestarpredictions from my TBR. So here goes. I'm excited to dive into all of these. 'Hame' was a #totalcoverbuy but I've heard good things. Others are #blameitonlitsy titles, and the lower three I'll probably keep for my #scaretober reads. 😁

She is a very interesting storyteller! Whether any of this actually happened to EA or not, it's a dark, but well-told story.

It gives me strength to have somebody to fight for; I can never fight for myself, but, for others, I can kill.
