I took courage today and went for a dip in frigid Lake Superior. Now I'm wrapped in a blanket in front of this fire with a fantastic book. Vacation is such a lovely thing! #brontesisters #puremichigan
Bookmail! I am so excited to read both of these on my upcoming vacation! Have you read either, Littens? Are they as good as I'm hoping? #bookmail #vacationreading

This tagged book arrived at my house yesterday. After reading about it on @LeahBergen Posts, of course I just had to order it! Unbeknownst to me, this book is by the same author as a #TBR book I chose for my August #MakeMeReadIt stack.
The author of this book always preferred Emily and Charlotte to the pious and boring Anne Bronte ... until she held Anne‘s last letter in her hands at the Bronte Parsonage Museum. She realized that Anne had been the victim of a bit of Victorian whitewashing and sets out to discover the “real” Anne.
Rather than a straightforward biography, the author takes a delightfully chatty tone with the reader (and I can hardly put it down!).

Does anyone know who I need to tag for this photo challenge?
Today's prompt was Book Stack so I thought I'd share part of my TBR bookcases. About 3/4 of the shelves in this are TBR. 😬.
Amongst these is Take Courage, a book about Anne Bronte. I need a bit of courage to tackle Mount TBR!
Today's book mail.
Why am I reading 5 books right now? The first few pages of this make me want to jump right in and learn more about the "forgotten Bronte sister". ❤️

Instead of highlighting classic books I thought I'd show two recent biographies about the Bronte sisters. Both of these are still in #MountTBR.
I have an interest in the Bronte sisters, not only for the literature they created but for the lives they lived. I also live close to their father's ancestral home in #NorthernIreland , and enjoy exploring this local connection.
