Brianna from the Outlander series is one of my favorites. There is a dearth of fan art that is not based on the tv actress. This is by Mograinne on DeviantArt.

The actual publication of my specific copy pissed me off. Mine is a 2010 Bantam Books Trade Paperback Edition. I hit page 784, went to read the next page and realized I had pages missing. So I thumbed through and found that for the rest of the book, 30 freaking pages worth, was all jumbled and mixed together. I had to keep flipping back and forth. There was some high-tier drama during these pages and it was pretty dampened with this annoyance!
5/5 ⭐️.
I laughed, I bawled, I gasped. My heart would swell then be crushed. This series feels like home to me. The last 200 pages were extra great-full of shocking drama!
Thank goodness for leap year/day..it really helped me finish my last book of the month. 😂 Looking back, it seems I spent the month reading about war in three different time periods. 🤔 And a handful of spies, too!
I intended to finish both of these books last week but life had other plans I guess. My allergies have really been kicking my butt & I haven't felt like reading much lately. Here is hoping I can finish both in the next day or so especially since the top one (Red Sister by Mark Lawrence) is my book club book & we meet Tuesday.
This was a reread for me. Since I have all of the physical copies of the series now. I love this book, I love Jamie and Claire so much!!!! I love how the story has grown since the beginning. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!
It's that time of year again...summer break means I can fully commit to knocking some "big" books I have been putting off all year off of my TBR list.
This is a text from a friend of mine that started listening to the series about the same time I decided to reread it. It cracked me up, I think she nailed it.
I love this series, but this may be my least favorite book. I'm bored by the war and I hate the cliffhangers. But I couldn't put it down, so my reading brain betrayed me. 🙃
I'm just trying to read my book. The dog just wants to gaze at 🐰 🐰 🐰. The boy insists on blowing bubbles, 🙄 godfather style. 😑
Boo #7 in the series. This book is quite different than the earlier ones which have started where the last left off. This one starts prior to the ending of the last, but from a different point of view. While Claire & Jamie could never be supporting characters of the story - lord John & William are much more prominent with much of the story from their point of view. It‘s not my favorite because of that - but I get it‘s importance in future books.
This 7th installment of the outlander series was AMAZING! I laughed, I cried, I also gasped! I give it 5 outta 5 🌟
As Claire and Jamie's journey continues they find themselves in America fighting in the War of Independence. If you like historical fiction, then you will like this series. A theme in this novel is the power of knowing vs. saying - as seen in how Claire knows how the war will turn out, but who will listen to her?
This weekend is all about staying inside and getting house projects done. We‘ve been on the go since the summer it feels like, so it‘s time to have some quiet weekends at home. Looking at making a dent in this one and attempting to finish my audiobook (The Right to Arm Bears) while working on the house projects #weekendreading
This week I have been mostly reading

Again with those beautiful descriptions. Must be some of my favorite parts of the books. ✨
Finally done. This has been the least enjoyable of the series so far. the last 300 pages were the best part but the book was 1149 pages. Up next something light, a palette cleaner.
Halfway point of this book. Only 565 pages to go (roughly). However, this has been my least favorite of the series so far. I am having a hard time staying focused, but I don't want to give up because I have loved this series until this point. #AwesomrAugust @Andrew65
Nobody in this house care that 186 pages is only 16% of this book. #LucyGray snuggles make it a little better.
About to have to quarantine again, assuming all the travel plans work out, so I‘m stocking up on e-books from the local library:)
It has been a long time since I posted. I‘m still here. And still reading. All of these lockdowns and having everyone home so much, really throws me off though. I miss my alone time. A. Lot. This week I‘m trying to lose myself in a bit of Jamie Fraser. I miss you Littens. I‘m going to have to try harder.
As usual, there are parts I…just don‘t care about. But the parts I DO care about make up for it. (Mostly. Still kinda salty though.) #anechointhebone #dianagabaldon #outlander #jamiefraser #clairefraser
The authors beautiful, descriptive writing really takes you into the story. However it can sometimes feel like over description and detract from the story as well. By the time you near the end, you‘ve had enough, but it‘s those last 100-200 pages (of an 800+ page book) where all of the action is - and it‘s really good. So that‘s why I‘m giving this one 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow, Jamie and Claire live such eventful lives. As the tale continues we find them traveling to Scotland and back, always on the brink of danger or mishap. Brianna and Roger are also not fated to live the quiet life, with letters from the past and even visitors from there too. It was an interesting and very long read, with twists and turns which kept me on my toes and wanting to read just one more chapter.
I liked this one. I like the 20th century storyline, and I liked Claire, Jamie and Ian‘s storylines, as well. I lost a lot of interest in Lord John Grey and William‘s parts in the book, though. Up until William met up with Ian. I do normally like John Grey, but I just couldn‘t get interested in his parts. I enjoy the medical history in the book – Claire's 20th century knowledge tin the 18th century. There were a couple of surprises at the end.

Time for another “chunkster” at 1,149 pages!
I‘m so glad the pace of these books has picked up again! There was a lot that happened in this one. Some of it shocking and completely heart wrenching. I can‘t wait to see what happens next!
Outlander # 7 The 2nd best book in the saga! Loved it! I love James and Claire, and the plot still manages to surprise.
