How come I only discovered this picture book today? I would have loved it when I was little (completely hypothetical - I'm basically the same age as Gaiman). I'll try it on the grandchild...

I didn't have a book with #Spice in the title, so I'm cheating a little because Cinnamon is a spice. 😉
Gah!!!! Thank you so much for these happy goodies, @TheBookHippie !!!! I sat down and read the tagged book immediately - the illustrations are so gorgeous!!! Hope you have a wonderful Easter!! ❤️

This is a really cute story about a girl named Cinnamon who is blind and refuses to talk until she meets a tiger 🐯
#AuthoraMonth @Soubhiville
A fable blended with Indian folklore about a princess who is blind and would not speak, until a mysterious talking tiger offers to help. Enjoyable tale with Gaiman‘s signature wit and vibrant artwork by Divya Srinivasan make this a great read-aloud for younger kids or older kids to read on their own.

I knew Neil Gaiman had written a few kids books, but hadn‘t had a chance to read any yet. So when I saw this on the shelf at my local library while doing my weekly volunteer shift, I had to set it aside to check out.
Worth it! I loved the surprise ending!
Bowing out of September with this eye candy. 🐯👸🏻
September favourite: Anne of Green Gables by L M Montgomery. 🧡
#AyUpAugust Day 14: Many people, from far and wide, came to their palace, with the intention of getting Princess Cinnamon to speak – to no avail. At least not until this huge and fierce tiger arrived at the palace, with the calm certitude that he would be able to do what no one else has done in helping Cinnamon find her voice. Talk about an #Animal friend. My review of this Neil Gaiman picturebook: https://wp.me/pDlzr-hl6
I love ❤️❤️❤️❤️the Hot cinnamon flavor! I haven‘t tried any others, because every time I buy, I go with my favorite. I‘d like to enter your #harneyteagiveaway and see if the other flavors are as wonderful. @umbrellagirl
No #RunningAcrossThinIceWithTigers but a lovely story about a tiger and a blind princess.
Also, a traditional German song about snowflakes and another one about a cat walking in the snow, coming home with white boots on. #50wordsforsnow
Featuring #ShadowCat's behind.

Wonderful story about a tiger, a princess, a parrot and an elderly aunt. 😉 #raisingreaders
My daughter loves it. @Leniverse Thank you for this gift.
Meanwhile the domestic tigers are cuddling. #catsoflitsy
Fun Fact:
If you are 3 years old and your flustered father says “What is this mess on your bed?!” and you say “I made a bookstore! Would you like to buy something?” then you will immediately melt his heart and suffer no ill consequences.

Since my kids aren't with me this week, we opened our box last week on St Lucia's Day (Dec13th). My kids were thrilled with their gifts, and so was I.
There were wonderful books for all of us, funny sweets (jelly beans pooping reindeer and unicorn, Brussels sprouts) and we had so much fun unpacking and cuddling our presents.
Thank you for the wonderful box @Leniverse 😘
Thank you for organizing this @litmuggle 😘
1. Earl Grey tea and coffee
2. Cozy slippers
3. Cinnamon
4. Chocolate is my religion 😍
5. I've got a decent collection od badges and stamps

Exquisite art and Gaiman's words. I love that Neil Gaiman writes poetically even for his youngest refers, and although I read the picture book version, I could hear him narrating it in my head which added to my enjoyment.
Little readers need a hand in picking out books sometimes. We are here to help! Take a look at the newest line up in #TheBookHookUp for new picks for the little ones in your life.

This is what the 4yo and I picked up from the library today
I wanted to love this, but only Gaiman's wonderful narrative voice lived up to my hopes.

Beautifully illustrated story set in India, told with Gaimanian flair.
Cinnamon was born with pearls for eyes & does not speak. Her parents, the Rajah & the Rani, seek one who will teach her to talk; the tiger who arrives after many others fail this task is not what anyone was expecting.
Glad to add this to my #childrenslit collection. Very sweet & the illustrations are so very lovely.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Absolutely loved this book with its empowering message, and Divya Srinivasan‘s illustrations are beautiful. Was excited to share it with my niece this week especially after their recent trip to India this year.
Gorgeous illustrations.
An odd little folktale that I'm not sure about. I enjoyed reading it but I think I'm going to pass on reading it to my 5yo.
Neil Gaiman's new Indian folk tale for kids contains a rhyme perfect for #LimerickDay #MayBookFlowers
I would not be surprised to find that this was a traditional Indian folk tale with a bit of Gaiman's style and humor thrown in, like Norse Mythology. I also wouldn't be surprised if this was all him.
The daughter of the Rajah and the Rani is blind and cannot speak. One day a tiger arrives to teach her.
The Rani's aunt, hiding behind the pillar, is the crotchety comic relief who may or may not get eaten.
While it seems the whole of Litsy is losing its collective mind today for courts of ruinous wings, I'm just stoked that I've got a brand new Neil Gaiman book to read with my son for story time tonight. #bookmail
