Jekyll Revelation | 
panIt held my attention but I'm not sure I liked this book. It started out very promising, and parts of it were really well written, but in the end, it felt like a series of missed opportunities. The tension was building at several points of the novel, but it never really came to a climax. All in all, it was a disappointment.

pick3/5 🌟🌟🌟 historical horror/thriller story revolves around Robert Louis Stevenson, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, and Jack the Ripper. Alternates between 1880‘s and present day California. I enjoyed the 1880‘s much better and could have done without the present day storyline. The narration is well done.
pickI'm late finishing this for #spookyfriendsbookclub as I had a lot of health problems last month. So glad I finished it! I'm a fan of Robert Louis Stevenson and it was fun to see him as a character embroiled in the Whitechapel murders of the 1800s

pickI liked this one. It's more of a slow building #horror told partially through #epistolary format. The story alternates between present day and the past.
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I totally enjoyed this book! It was a brilliant mix of fact and fiction, past and present, known and unknown. Being primarily about two of my favorite topics: Jack the Ripper and the questions of the nature of evil in the human soul with a real life and amazing author as a main character this book nerd was in heaven!!
pickThis book is a great example of embellishing historical fact to create a fiction grounded in the truth. Alternating between the 1800s and the present, I found the historical portion of the book more compelling than the present day story. I loved reading about the creation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The new take on Jack the Ripper was also very interesting.
