“A persons a person no matter how small”
Love Dr suess‘s Horton hears a who . “Every voice counts!”
Really enjoying homeschool reading time, snuggle up on the sofa with a warm cosy blanket ... I think the dogs enjoying it too 😂 #dogsoflitsy
Starting off #24B4Monday with Horton Hears a Who by Dr. Seuss! I‘m also reading it for #ReadYoutSign because it was published on August 12, 1954 - my number is 12 and 1954 is my birth year (now you know, I‘m old!) Anyway, let‘s get started!
1. Sometimes I do. I bought Melmoth The Wanderer because the cover caught my attention, but I also bought the black penguin edition of Nicholas Nickleby which is easily one of the ugliest books I have
2. I bought Little Women, A Passage to India, Moby Dick and Horton Hears a Who all together
3. The radio in the morning
4. I keep hitting the snooze button every 10 minutes from the first alarm until "fuck I'm going to be late"
5. @MySharonaK @SW-T
Not too bad! Crossing my fingers the glue holds up overnight so it survives the bus ride to school tomorrow.
The boy chose Horton Hears a Who for his literary pumpkin. It's been his favorite since before he was one. He's eight now. 🎃🐘

This has always been my favorite quote from any Dr Seuss book.
"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" Dr Seuss
@laur89 To me you are the world ??
Thank you so so so ever so much for making me smile so big and cry happy (hormonal ?) tears. I love you lady. What an amazing and sweet surprise!! Ellie and I are over the moon for Horton.

Just returned from a cruise with my grandson. We went to a Dr Seuss parade and listened to a reading of Horton Heard a Who! Does this count as my first read of the year? 😉
Loved visiting the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum in Springfield, MA today.
After school yesterday, I stayed late to work on some posters for Dr. Seuss Week. Here is one of them.
The other half of Dr. Seuss‘s extremist screed in this pro-life Horton bilogy. This one nestles easily into Horton Hatches an Egg. Here, Horton argues “ A person‘s a person no matter how small!” When applied to persons of microscopic proportions, of course, it can only be interpreted as meaning “Life begins at conception!”
Also, if it‘s not an allegory for pregnancy, I can‘t figure out what kind of trouble The Whos are actually in.
When your librarian sister sends you the cutest bookmarks ever! Such a great way to start a Monday!

#marchintoreading day 9: #alliterativetitles
I had to resort to raiding the kids' shelves for alliterative titles!
Busted this out to read to Rosemary. I have to get more #picturebooks in French! The amazing thing is, it still rhymes! The translator did an awesome job. Rosemary seemed confused but I think she liked the French sounds. I will have to read her more French books! (I have maybe 10 picture books in French) #kidlit
