The Road Less Travelled
The Road Less Travelled: A New Psychology of Love, Traditional Values and Spiritual Growth | M. Scott Peck
Confronting and solving problems is a painful process which most of us attempt to avoid. Avoiding resolution results in greater pain and an inability to grow both mentally and spiritually. Drawing heavily on his own professional experience, Dr M. Scott Peck, a psychiatrist, suggests ways in which facing our difficulties - and suffering through the changes - can enable us to reach a higher level of self-understanding. He discusses the nature of loving relationships: how to distinguish dependency from love; how to become one's own person and how to be a more sensitive parent. This is a book that can show you how to embrace reality and yet achieve serenity and a richer existence. Hugely influential, it has now sold over ten million copies - and has changed many people's lives round the globe. It may change yours.

Leftcoastzen Omg! As a bookseller I should have written down all the ways customers misremembered the title. Travel the Road , Fork in the Road , The Road not taken, SOMETHING about a Road. 2y
JamieArc This is my husband‘s favorite book. I should read it sometime! 2y
Maria514626 Oh this is so good! Definitely worth a reread! 2y

Finally done!
Not at all what I expected, but an interesting read! However it is very technical and not something to be read once and be done with...one will have to go back and back again, pondering each chapter and then reading it again!
So so so much information!

Dr. Peck never bullies his readers, but rather guides them gently through the hard and often painful process of change toward a higher level of self-understanding. One of those books that stays with you...

Learning about yourself is never a bad thing, and this book in particular helps to understand some of the things we do and experience. Insightful, well written, it‘s a classic everyone should read.
