It's very 🥶 cold here today so having a lazy day, snuggling in bed with blankets, cats, and this tome. I bought it a few years ago after reading Alison Uttley's A Traveler in Time and becoming quite fascinated by Mary, Queen of Scots. And then I lost interest. But quite enjoying it now.
I've read a lot of books about Tudor England, but I think this is the first I've read that was from the point of view of Mary Stewart. It was interesting to relearn about that period in history from a different perspective.
It took close to a year, but it if finally done.
Did someone say #scotland? I‘m very interested in English/Scottish/Irish history, so of course I have a copy of this on my TBR! #letstravelaugust
Inspired by one of the books in my #blinddatebokswap just booked to see this movie (the trailer looks lush!). I have until Jan 28 to read the book ( prior to the movie!)
Look forward to reading this one. Has anyone read it? #quotsydec17 #nightmare
Blankets, Ben and Jerry's and a big, beautiful book.
Ronnie and I are pretending to be on the Scottish highlands today! Stopped reading about Mary long enough to enjoy a walk in 60 degree weather.
I am totally immersed in this 865 page book, can't believe I was passing it up due to the size. I have my reference magazine (on left) and it's so exciting. Already half way through!
I was delighted to find this wishlist book in my mailbox, an RABCK (Random Act of BookCrossing Kindness) from a #BookCrossing friend!
#FeistyFeb Day 18 - Historical Heroine
I'm absolutely fascinated by the Mary Queen of Scots figure, and this novelization of her life is one of my favorites!

Gah I'm so behind on #seasonsreadings2016! Isles are super fancy islands, right???? No idea if this is actually #setonanisland... @RealLifeReading
Oo la la ❤️ This baby jumped off my shelf today, and into my arms. Destiny? I think so 😉
Another epic work by Margaret George. I think I've read this one a few times - humanizes the fascinating figure of Mary.
