There is some beautiful descriptive writing in here. However, unfortunately, that‘s all the positive I can think of for this. The main characters were not relatable at all. In fact, they were super frustrating and one-dimensional. I wanted more character development or any type of explanation to the magical elements, but none ever came. Sucks because the premise seemed so promising.

No spoilers as this is a #LMPBC book. I wanted to let @aeeklund and @nelehelen that I wish we could talk about the books we have read. There were amazing choices. I think you tow know why I gave this a so-so rating.

Boring and went nowhere

Thank you so much @bullbunny !! All I can say is we definitely have the Hufflepuff mindset when it comes to fairy tales! I‘ve been wanting to read the Girl with Glass Feet for awhile and I‘ve always loved Hans Christian Anderson‘s stories. The mermaid photo is amazing, I can‘t thank you enough!!

A solid good read more than a so so but not a pick either and that perhaps makes your toes tingle involuntarily! The story follows through to the final conclusion, which was a pleasure as I was seriously suspecting it wouldn't.

This one has been sitting on my #tbr pile for so long. Going nicely with the winter weather finally feeling like December outside and likelihood of snow tomorrow.

Strange things are happening on the remote and snowbound archipelago of St. Hauda‘s Land. Magical winged creatures flit around the icy bogland, albino animals hide themselves in the snow-glazed woods, and Ida is slowly turning into glass. Ida is an outsider in these parts who has only visited the islands once before. Yet during that one fateful visit the glass transformation began to take hold, now she has returned in search of a cure.
