pickI love the progression of the characters from book one till now!
Having been able to read them rather one after the other definitely helps to see the progression as I appreciate that Stroud doesn't talk about the past books too much as some others, but more as a quick note and in the form of a memory or a past conversation that is coming back to the current story.

pickI feel like this book was used to shift the direction the series was going. I'm not quite sure how I feel about everything. This one was enjoyable even though I was frustrated with the characters at times. I'm curious as to where things will go from here.

pickThe best series in this genre ever. I can't... I just L-O-V-E it! Need I say more than: "I think it was only in the Lavender Lodge, that I glimpsed Lockwood & Co. working together perfectly for the first time. Anthony Lockwood, coat aflame, arms flapping madly as he staggered back towards the open window. George Cubbins, dangling from the ladder one-handed, like an oversized, windblown pear.
Moving onto book three in the series! I have loved each one as much as I did when I read them the first time.
pickI enjoyed the third book in the Lockwood & Co. Series, apart from Lucy's reaction to the new girl. I'm always wary of male authors who pit girls or women against each other.
Currently in the midst of Lockwood & Co book 3. While I‘m reading it, I‘m totally hooked and want to keep going. Soon as I put it down, I suddenly wonder if I even want to keep reading. It‘s super weird. I think it‘s me and not the book. I‘ve had a lot on my mind lately, and I think that‘s making it hard for me to lose myself in reading, which is super upsetting since how else am I supposed to de-stress?!
pickOh, this one was creepy! 👻It's been awhile since i read the first two but this one seemed darker and with a bit more death? Anyhow, i loved it! Just a little more hesitant to recommend it widely to students since it might scare some. I love this Ghostbusters with kids series 😍 i look forward to the next one! #mommyreads #middlegrade #ghosts
pickA good third installment, the ghosts are getting better and better. An overall (series) plot is starting to develop, with an ending which hints at the next book (which is out already). I think this is a great series for middle schoolers who like fantasy. 🌕🌕🌕🌕
Next book in line - something light from a favorite author
pickMy least favorite this far ONLY because I thought Lucy could do better than being jealous the whole time. I did enjoy her realistic portrayal of jealousy and conflicting feelings. As always, Stroud is a master of words. His descriptions are vivid and realistic. I loved the plot of this book even though it felt more chaotic than normal. Overall, stunning.
"Holly? What do you want? A lentil and hummus wedge, or something?"
"Actually, I think a soft serve twist. It's a special occasion."
"Oh, I thought you only did healthy."
I'm not a fan so far on how the relationship between Holly and Lucy is portrayed. They're competitive and catty and this is a problem when you consider that there aren't any positive female relationships shown in the book. Hoping their relationship evolves.
pickOne of my favourite middle grade series'. When the dead come back to haunt the living, Lockwood & Co. step in... Think creepy old houses, buried secrets, spookiness and a gang of teenaged Ghostbusters. Super funny, I've loved all three. Check out #1 - The Screaming Staircase.
