A little hard to believe and seemed a little too contrived
This is only the second Eloisa James Book I‘ve read. I felt like this book was very long for a romance novel. And a lot of things were over explained. This is the 3rd book in the series 🤷🏻♀️ but it doesn‘t matter.
Harriet dresses as a boy and goes to Strange‘s infamous house party where Strange is supposed to teach her how to be a man.
The story itself was interesting and I enjoyed reading it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and down to earth and friendly Eloisa James was yesterday at Avon KissCon. What a pleasure!
The chapter titles in this book are fantastic!
@EloisaJames I found these at our local romance bookshop today! I can't wait to start Duchess by Night---I just re-read Seven Minutes in Heaven this weekend and remembered how much I'm in LOVE with Ward.😍😍😍😍#romantsy
This was fun on audio! Engaging characters and great performance by Susan Duerden. But a bit too steamy for audio maybe (😊). I obviously was using earbuds, but it still felt really, really awkward to be listening at work. 😝😂
But, I just put in a library hold for another @EloisaJames book bc I need to know how things end up for one of the side characters! In print this time. 😉
(Good book club pick @JessicaPHoffman !! )
Fangirled hard. I also think she won the table wars ;)
The cross dressing heroine is not a favorite trope but I rather liked it in this one. ❤️💗💜❤️💓💗#romantsy #osrbc
I love Jem for seeing and making Harriet feel like the goddess that she is. ❤
I know this photo has nothing to do with the book lol, but I just got this adorable guy last week and am spamming his pics everywhere! 😍
I've been neglecting my other library books and binge reading @EloisaJames instead. Glad I finally picked up some of her books...I've really enjoyed them all so far! 😄
Harriet's story is so sweet. Now on to Isidore's story. I love how each book sets you up for the next. I also love that I found these later so I could binge them.
Picked this up on a whim and it was a delightful audio book that I finished during my breakfast (courtesy of St. Nick). Historical romance can get bogged down in the illicit sex and this one didn't. It was pleasant listening on my commute and given that this and one other novel were the only two without a wait list, I imagine others share my opinion. I'll definitely listen to another @EloisaJames novel.
Look who showed up on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver! @EloisaJames you're a superstar! #romantsy
One of my favorites because...cross-dressing. #genrefictiondelight #romantsy
