This was my first book by this author and it totally grabbed my interest! Well paced and compelling the story is phenomenal! Sometimes a bit annoying and gruesome but a well told tale!

Cathythoughts I‘m reading it just now ... some review said this is her best one 🤷🏼‍♀️... it‘s the only one I‘ve read so far 5y

Such a well written but cringe worthy story. It simply sucks you in and although difficult to read you cannot help but love and hate the characters. I definitely plan to see the movie adaptation.

Dan Brown is always entertaining. So many twists and turns. The story always keeps you thinking and is enticing until the end. Interesting parallels with today‘s governmental influence of control of information.

Nine Perfect Strangers | Liane Moriarty
Mehso-so

Nine perfect strangers started out compelling and interesting but with a general sense of foreboding that increases time goes on. There are many points of view that made it confusing. The characters were very diverse and interesting. A group of people going to health retreat end up being held captive, required to be totally silence and have no eye contact. Eventually they end up on psychedelics to enhance their transformative experience.

Circe | Madeline Miller
Mehso-so

I totally love mythology and I love the idea of the author expounding on mythology stories. I did find the book quite slow and Hope had a hard time connecting with the character Circe. I have not read the Song of Achilles but plan to after reading all the reviews.

zzz I've heard this from others too. I have Song of Achilles (tbr) but not Circe 6y
mcctrish Someone told me The Song of Achilles is better than Circe and because it was easier to get from the library I read Achilles first. I did enjoy it, although at times it felt very YA ( nothing wrong with YA but this is not identified as that) and I‘m really glad I borrowed and not bought. That said I‘m in no rush to read Circe now (edited) 6y
