This is a solid start to a new fantasy series!
This book is full of complex characters, a lush magical world, and a very politically charged plot.
Though I dont think you will necessarily be surprised by much in this book, it is a great foundation to build an interesting series on. I look forward to seeing what will happen in the next book.
I hope you will give this series a try! I found it enjoyable, and look forward to more!

I adore all of these volumes of manga. The one that packed an emotional punch was by far Our Dreams at Dusk. This is a beautiful coming out story written by a non binary mangaka. Please go support this beautiful story.

3.5 🌟
This was a fun YA fantasy that feels like a blend of Fablehaven and Temeraire. Jake matures a lot throughout the book, and I just enjoy McKinley's writing.

What is this adorableness? I fell in love with Goldie and her sass in this first volume! I will for sure be picking up more of this series in the future!
The art style is smooth and right up my alley. It was bright, vibrant, and spunky like Goldie!
The mystery added a fun layer to the story! This one is a must read!

This series continues to blow me away. It is not only stunning art, it is a truly beautiful age gap romance. This 20 year old woman is wed to a 12 year old. She has to wait for him to grow more before they start their family. She still gives everything to their relationship, and he gives everything that he can. It's amazing.

I loved getting to know these 2, and seeing their love story play out. This is the first book in the Longhorn Canyon series, and I read 2 others first. 😂
I loved seeing how their summer program with the foster kids works. My little man Benjy made me cry so much!
This is a great series. Smexy scenes are fade to black, but well done.

Volume 5 of this series was a delight! Anubis back story and tiny versions of him and the king??? It was so good! I continue to love this story. It's so politically charged. This world of beasts is being changed by a human sacrifice.
Beautiful art, and an amazing story. You will love it! I promise!

Thanks to my friends @VizMedia for sending this lovely volume my way! Shirayuki is an amazing protagonist! Known for her beautiful red hair, the prince of Tanbarun wants her. She opts to leave her hair for him, and flees to the neighboring kingdom.
There she meets the always gorgeous Zen, and that's where our adventure begins! Beautiful art, an amazing story, and loveable characters! This one is a not miss!

I have to give some serious props to this author. She put you in the head of a serial killer, and it MAJORLY creeped me out! I was drawn into that perspective more than I expected to be.
Thankfully, this drama was broken up with an amazing couple!
Consent was clear with these two.Though the plot of this novel made it feel like a novel, these characters and what they were going through felt very real to me. Full review on Goodreads.

This josei manga series was a delight to read! Though it wasn't perfect, I felt it to be pretty realistic. 2 grown adults who want different things out of life try having a romantic relationship.
Both characters were strong, but willing to give their partner their dreams. It was lovely. The art style was nice as well.

Serotonin Didn‘t this author also wrote a YA series a while back with this same character? 🤔 6y
shaegeeksout @Serotonin Her YA series follows the character Nick Gautier from this series. I'm sure Acheron makes appearances though, as they are friends. 6y

Though there are some very problematic behaviors portrayed in this novel, I thought it did a good job of portraying a Jekyll and Hyde story. It was plausable for the modern world we live in. The writing was engaging, and I read it quickly. Not a book for everyone, but I enjoyed it for what it was trying to convey.

Though this collection contains a few excellent poems, when they are all read together, it comes across strictly as a political agenda. I can appreciate certain poems on their own, but as a whole I did not enjoy it. I know that my opinion is the minority on this collection. I much preferred her first collection. This collection felt like nothing but a man bash fest. I was hoping to feel empowered by the end, but did not.

Rachaeldulaney20 I‘m so glad I‘m not the only one who thought this!!!! It made me kinda sick. I haven‘t read “the princess saves herself in this one” however I am nervous to get it after this read. Why isn‘t she focusing on empowering people as a whole she‘s putting down the image of men only to pick up women. Like you said it was just so brutal toward men. 6y

This is a solid romance novel. Its also got a nice interracial couple. Indian female with a spoon fed Texas guy. I enjoyed it. The smut factor is high on this one. Our coupling was a couple with history, and that is one of my favorite tropes. I really like how they came together. I can't wait to read the next installment!
