My fave contemporary romances of 2024! All of these books burrowed their way into my heart and didn‘t let go.❤️❤️❤️

This was my first book by Grossman, and it won‘t be my last. Although I felt it was a good 150 pages too long (it was close to 600+ pages), it was a fun, exciting Arthurian retelling that asks “What happens AFTER Arthur died?” It follows the “loser” knights that are left and tells their backstories while also introducing 17-year-old Collum, a kid who wants to be a knight but arrived at Camelot after its glory days.
My first post in 4 years! Reading some new Historical Romance as I wait for my therapy appointment.🩷
So. Many. Ebooks. I can‘t decide.😬
I‘m so excited to finally get this one from the library! Did anyone like this one?
I just started this, and already the story-within-a-story is a little confusing. Has anyone read this? Does it get better/easier?
Another wonderful book from Samantha Young. Emotional, HOT, and surprisingly tender. Four stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This audiobook is on sale for $5, and buddy did I scoop it up fast (it came out less than three months ago!). Two Scotsman talking for 11 hours about Scotland? My fave place in the world?? Sign me up!💚🏴💚 #audiobook
My $14 used book haul from this weekend! Nothing like a used book to make me happy.❤️💗📚
I can‘t believe I got my hands on this one! Brand new and covered in plastic wrap, it‘s dying to be read!❤️🚀✨
I‘m on the Freshman Composition Committee within our English department, and we‘ve just started incorporating a book into our classes. They usually have to do with a social justice theme, and I‘m excited to start this one.❤️📖
This memoir is so good! Written by a speechwriter for former President Obama, it explores the interesting and anecdotal tales of the bright years that were the Obama administration. The audiobook is narrated by the author himself, and he is HILARIOUS. It‘s an excellent listen while I‘m waiting in the school pick-up line.❤️🎧❤️
In today‘s edition of “Crazy-Amazing Book Titles,” I present this beauty. I saw it at a used bookstore over the weekend and had to have it based on the title alone. What a breathtaking-ly beautiful, insane combination of words.❤️ #crazybooktitles
This one is good so far! Turney gives enough personality and interesting anecdotes that the science writing isn‘t too boring or dense. I love survivor stories, and this one has my attention and I‘m only 1/4 of the way through.💙❄️🌏
Prepping to teach my early American Lit class and listening to Hamilton. Appropriate, right?😆💛🖤💛
Reading in-between teaching! I‘m so excited to get home so I can follow the Inauguration!!❤️🇺🇸❤️🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I try to read at least 30 minutes a day on this behemoth. It‘s an excellent book, and I loooove using Bookly as my timer.❤️
I‘m loving this book so far! It‘s a re-imagining of Sherlock Homes. Isaiah Quintan (IQ) is Black man who is possibly on the autism spectrum. After a traumatic experience as a teen, he takes on cases to help people, but also to pay his bills (he lives in the projects in California.) I‘m only a few chapters in, but MAN. Powerful stuff from the very beginning.🔎🔬🕵🏻♂️
For today‘s #inspirednewyear challenge, I have to go with some dukes as being the most #charismatic men of my book collection.😍🎩

For today‘s #inspirednewyear challenge, my #admirable book is Jane Austen‘s Emma. Not only is it my favorite Austen novel, but Mr. Knightley is (in my humble opinion), Austen‘s most #admirable hero.💘

This is my #motivated book for 2021! Instead of guilting myself into another diet, I‘ve decided to read books on positivity. In the long run, I think this is the way to go.❤️💪🏻 #inspirednewyear @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TheKidUpstairs
1. The biggest change for me was letting go of family members and friends who have proven themselves to be racist and unfeeling. It breaks my heart, but I‘m trying to break the cycles.
2. I learned that as long as you keep the people around you that love you, life will be just fine.❤️
3. Actually, I read less than I intended. I teach college, so this year has been crazy.
4. Sarah J. Maas‘s new Crescent City series novel!🧡🧡🧡
I read this as an audiobook and I was NOT disappointed. It‘s a very emotional, but empowering story that only JVN can tell.🌈💕🎧
My Top 12 of 2020! I only got in 50 books this year, but I‘m glad these were some of them. Here‘s to 2021 and our giant TBR stacks!❤️📚🥂
Any guesses as to what my favorite Christmas present is??❤️ #thisistheway
Happy Holidays from the most adorable family ever!❤️🎄❤️ #thisistheway #themandalorian
All of these for $5 at a library book sale! I love a good used-book haul.❤️📚❤️🎄
Mr. Knightley has this whole “Saturday” thing down pat.❤️😴🐱 #catsofLitsy
I‘m only 20% in, but WOW is it good so far. I can‘t really even put my finger on why it‘s good. It just is.🧡❤️🧡
I can‘t believe it‘s been so long since I‘ve been on Litsy! So happy to be back. Here‘s to 2021 and may you all have wonderful book hauls!❤️📚❤️
I got to teach Poe‘s Fall of the House of Usher for the first time today. My college sophomores LOVED it.🖤☠️🏰🧟♀️
Saw Antoni from Queer Eye in Atlanta last week, and the ticket price included the gorgeous cookbook!📚😍
I‘m so exited about this book! I‘ve been wanting it for ages (and though I‘m sure the hardback is much more appealing), I found it for $1.99 as an ebook, so I snatched it up!❤️📚
Looking forward to this one! Lorraine Heath writes such amazing, poignant stories.💙💙💙
Found this on Instagram. Gotta love Emily Dickinson humor.🤷🏼♀️😂
Y‘all. This book is HOT. And well-written. And HOT.🔥🔥🔥
P. S. HOTTT.
Mine is personal significance! Oddly enough, if it‘s organized any other way, I get uneasy.🤣📚❤️
So excited about this one! It‘s been getting great reviews from the romance community.❤️💙❤️
This was a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review from me! It had a very unique plot—heroine is an interior designer/hero is a former street urchin & duke‘s bastard—and the sexual tension (some of it is through letters) is HOT!!🔥I think my favorite part of the novel was, however, the heroine‘s backstory. Original, creative, and heartbreaking—all at the same time. Eloisa James does it again!💕💕💕
Couldn‘t wait to get this!🖤😇😈
Next up in the TBR pile.📚
P.S. Letting go SUCKS.
Found this at the thrift store for 50 cents. It‘s so cute!🐱📚#catsofLitsy
This cat, y‘all. He can sleep anywhere. This time it‘s a pile of books.🤣📚
