Unpacking my privileges this Sunday afternoon
Unpacking my privileges this Sunday afternoon
A book and a beer. Trying to distract myself from beginning the 2022/23 school year tomorrow.
O'Malley helped me finish this book...finally! It was decent, I enjoyed rereading twilight from Edward's perspective, but it OH SO LONG! #catsoflitsy
Surprisingly good so far 🙂
I mean, I finished it. Not my typical genre to begin with, but after reading and LOVING The Nightingale I thought I would give this a go. There is no comparison besides the fact that it is a story about survival during WWII. I don't recommend.
I have enjoyed all of Gillian's other books so far, but couldn't seem to get into this one. I picked it up on several occasions but 👎
Just started this tonight. What a slow start. Maybe because I'm tired? I think I'll try again tomorrow.
This book had me hooked from the beginning to the end. Lots of twists and tricks! Blew through this pretty quickly!
Now that I'm out of my book hangover...I'm ready to dive into another book from my list.
The best book I've read in a while. Any book that can make me cry out loud gets my pick!
A couple reads for my new first grader about family diversity. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈👬👭
Woke up to find my almost 6 year old reading on his own in his book corner. Also, it happened to be one of his German books - Die Kleine Biene (The Little Bee) so this made me very happy! #kidsoflitsy #duallanguagelearners
A quick read over winter break. Did not disappoint. Flynn isn't afraid of digging into dark topics and running with it. O'Malley agrees! #catsoflitsy
It's 2:00 am and I'm starting a new book. Merry Christmas!
This book left me with a lot of questions. I liked the way it started, did not like how it ended.
I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but would you just look at this beauty?
A slow story up until the middle. I thought about bailing, but I guess I'm glad I stuck it out. The ending was intense.
Why did I start a new book after 11:00? Sooo sleepy! Ugh! Goodnight!
A great read for anyone that has children about to start school. With all the mom cliques and little scandals. A funny murder mystery.
Enjoying this Sunday... Lars is swimming, Martin is tinkering, I am reading. #sundayfunday #kidsoflitsy #husbandsoflitsy

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with this one. Wondering how, when, if she would ever break free and save her sister. The end was a bit predictable, but I still enjoyed it.
Started reading this story to my pre k class today and stopped after about 4 pages. The book glorifies secrets, and that's not okay with me. I ended up using the book as a teachable moment and discussing why it's important to never keep secrets before moving on to art. No thank you!
Loved the book! I'm such a crybaby. I cried when Evelyn lost Harry and again when she lost Celia. Also, did not see the end coming! I knew Evelyn and Monique had to be tied together through Monique's father somehow, but I never guessed it was because he was someone's lover!
My son (Lars) got a book for his 5th Birthday today whose main character has the same name as him! #kidsoflitsy
#venicebeach my husband is actually relaxing!
