I like the plot, but it needed to be edited down by at least 50-80 pages, and HOLY SHIT THE METAPHORS. They were everywhere.

Here‘s the next novel on my list. I hope to get it done this weekend! #24in48
Hello, fellow #24in48 readathoners! I‘m going to casually do this readathon this weekend, so I doubt I‘ll hit 24 hours (I‘m not even going to track it), but I do hope to get some good reading time in before my next masters class starts on Monday. I‘m currently about a fourth of the way through this gem, so finishing this is my first goal of the ‘thon. Merry reading!
After my hounds demanded their third walk of the day so far (they‘re terrible), I‘m ready to start my third #readathon book. This has some pretty terrible reviews on goodreads, but I‘m still game to give it a shot.
Not life-changing or anything, but it was cute and a fun read. Great choice for the #readathon!
This book was so...not good. And I think it could have been!
1) Clive, Iowa (a suburb of Des Moines)
2) I didn‘t prepare a TBR stack this time, so I‘ll choose as I go along.
3) it‘s a chilly day here, so I‘m thinking of making some chili later to help warm me up
4) I‘m a librarian (I love books!!), I have lime green hair, I‘m a vegan, and I have 2 basset hounds named Holly and Cooper
5) this is I think my 4th readathon. I‘m putting less pressure on myself this time. I‘m going with the flow!
#readathon
Hi #readathon people! I‘m going to start by finishing the novel I‘m in the middle of, so I can check it off my list! I don‘t have an official TBR pile for today, so I‘ll play it by ear as the day goes along. In the background of this pic is one of my basset hounds, Holly. She‘s confused as to why we are up at 7AM on a Saturday. Silly dog, it‘s time for reading!
And I‘m back (after writing a paper, doing laundry, gardening, and also walking this stinky boy). Going to get a start on this one tonight for my final #24in48 book and hopefully get to at least 9 hours! #cooperthedog
Yooooooo I really liked this! Excited to start watching the miniseries now that I‘ve read it
Only got 6.5 hours in yesterday, but I‘m still proud! This morning I‘ll have time to finish Sharp Objects before life gets in the way 🤪 #24in48
Bonus sleepy dog in the corner. For my second #24in48 I‘ll finally read this one
A little too chick-lit for my tastes, but still, an interesting concept.
Hello everyone! It‘s been too long. I‘ve been neglecting Litsy since, well, the last readathon I did! I promise to change that going forward. Anyhoo, I‘m starting off my #24in48 weekend by trying to finish this book. I won‘t be able to get to 24 hours this weekend, because it‘s just too busy (why oh why did I start a second master‘s while working full time and co-writing a book chapter with colleagues?!), but I‘ll do as much as I can! #letsdothis
100 pages in and holy hell this is a strange ride so far. And we haven‘t even gotten to most of the events listed in the plot summary on the back cover!
Omg yaaasssssss I loved this book. It was exactly what I needed to read now, as I‘ve read a string of merely okay books in a row. This was excellent.
I‘ve had this ebook on hold since December and it finally checked out to me this morning!!! Loving it so far.
Not good, not bad. I mostly feel unsettled after finishing this.
Not sure about this one. I‘m halfway through it, and it‘s odd? The writing comes off a bit pretentious.
What a strange story. Not at all what I expected. Only a few more hours now for me left in #24in48 !!
Owned this one forever, so it‘s finally time to read it! This will be my 6th book for #24in48
Definitely not for everyone, but I loved it. Also, this is the funniest book review I‘ve ever seen.
Just hit my hour 9 for #24in48. Getting a little sleepy. Time to change rooms!
For my third #24in48 selection, I‘m finally getting around to reading Cheryl Strayed‘s advice book.
Next up for #24in48 is a book I first came across when I was a volunteer shelf reader at a public library while I was going to library school. What can I say, the title intrigued me!
Why hello Litsy, it‘s been a minute since I‘ve logged in! I‘m back today for the #24in48 #readathon and I‘m ready to get started. Red Clocks is up first!
#readathon well, after all that big talk of going the full 24 hours this time, I fell asleep around midnight (whoops!). Still, I made it a solid 17 hours. And now, to keep on reading!
I‘m doing it! Probably won‘t finish, but I‘m psyched to read this on a dark and stormy overnight. #readathon, let‘s do this!
Absolutely wonderful. Perfect #readathon book, too, because the essay chapters are so short.
Book number 2 for the #readathon. I think it‘ll go faster than the first.
Finally finished my first #readathon book! Overall, it was good. A bit uneven. I wasn‘t feeling the 9/11 part of the plot. But the characterizations were excellent.
#readathon check in time. I‘m over 300 pages into my book (maybe I should‘ve picked a shorter book to start with!!), and it‘s going to rain soon, so I‘ll walk my sleepy hounds now. Then lunch, then I‘ll finish my first book of the day.
Holly does not care much for my #readathon progress (100 pages so far!), but she‘ll gladly accept butt pets.
Good morning, readers! I‘m here to start this #readathon. Coffee is brewed, dogs and husband are still asleep, and my book is waiting for me. Have fun, everyone!
I can‘t describe this book, beyond that it‘s bizarre and addicting and incomprehensible and beautifully written. I don‘t know who I‘d recommend it to? But I still like it.
This is clearly begging to be a Panic at the Disco lyric.
