Currently obsessed with this Penguin Modern Classics collection of small essays and extracts of books from different important authors. As well, I finally managed to get my hands on "Why I'm no longer talking about race" by Reni Eddo-Lodge, so this is quite a big haul, but I'm sure in three days I'll have gone through all of them, 'cause I cannot wait to read them!! #BookHaul #April #Race #Nonfiction #Essay
Another masterpiece by Ta-Nehisi Coates. The facts would blow your mind, it is not only an account of Obama's years as president, but as well how important was his election and the work that's still to be done. Completelly necessary read for these times. #Recommendsday #Review #Obama #Nonfiction
Got to finish Rebecca Solnit's book "A field guide to getting lost" during a walk into the forest, and it made it soo much better. Solnit gives you new ways to look at your surroundings, with history and facts, and stories I've never heard about the colour blue and all of its meanings. It wasnt at all what I was expecting it to be, but I learnt new things and now my morning walks are richer than ever. 4.5 stars.

Only 40 pages into my first Rebecca Solnit book and I can already relate with her in so many levels about my morning walks in the park and hiking in the forest... Her work reminds me of Mary Oliver's Upstream, one of my favourites last year. Looking forward to continue reading this. #Recommend

Slowly working on this masterpiece by Ta-Nehisi Coates in my new reading spot #Music #Coffee #Books #Flowers #Currentlyreading #Blackhistorymonth
One of my absolute favourites of this 2017, North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell (here in my spanish version). A greatly constructed romance, in the style of Pride and Prejudice, full of lust, social movements, new lifes, death and secrets. Just add it to your TBR, it's magnificent! #Review #Recommendsday #TBR #Pick #Great #Prideandprejudice #Romance #19thcentury #books #bookish
Already have my July TBR. I'm dying to finally read Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi! Although this is pretty much a Spanish TBR, I will be reading my monthly dose of english and what better than a thriller; Lie with me by Sabine Durrant. As well, I will continue William Wordsworth poetic work with Prelude. And finally, but not least, two booktube recommendations, Passing by Nella Larsen and Love in a Fallen City by Eileen Chang. #SummerReads #TBR #BookHaul
My first LGBT read. A mixture of love, the civil rights movement of the 60s and gay injustices and culture. I really like this graphic novel in the way that we can get to see a obscure moment on the life of Toland Polk, where trying to find himself is a diffuclt path to follow, full of treason, happiness, new friends and disaster. I really recommend it if you are looking for a political-inspired graphic novel. #Recommendsday
I can already tell Sherwood Anderson is going to leave me with such a big impression he might become one of my favourite writers #Ohio #CurrentlyReading #Classic
Today was another great book sale at my local thrift bookstore. I got all these four books, barely new, for just $1.40! Three in english, one in spanish. I'm totally looking forward to get my hands on all of them. #BookHaul #Thriftstore #March
I can honestly say that Between the World and Me has become one of my ultimate favourites, it is suuchh a good book, so realistic and yet depressing.. I love it! I could not take any quote out of it because the whole book comprises one, so just go ahead and read it, is an absolute must-read! #Favourite #Reccomendsday #Starbucks #Review
Finally I get the chance to read Ta-Nehisi Coates, National Book Award Winner, and what better way than with some music.. Let's gooo! #NBA #NextRead #Bookstagram #TaNehisiCoates #SundayReads
At the beginning of the month I finished the classic of James Baldwin The Fire Next Time and it was all I was waiting for and more! The essay to his niece was the most heartbreaking and yet realistic image we would have of the black civil rights movement of the 60s. The second part, another essay about what Islam means to the Community and Baldwin's approach of black suffering was such a new thing to me I loved it! #recommendsday #JamesBaldwin
Today I went to my local thrift store for the first time and I got some pretty good finds; two books in english, one in spanish I've been waiting to read for months! #bookhaul #AmyTan #RichardWright #KimEdwards
About to start reading this classic, just to get to something different. I will try to make this the last book of the month and finish with it before February begins. It is pretty small so lets get into it! #tbr #nextbook #classic #quickread
So glad I've finally read this classic. The love story, captivating and excellent; the writting not that impressive. Still, looking forward to reading more Austen famous works..
First 5-star book of 2017 and what a start! Love triangle and adventurous slavery times. OMG, I'm so in love with this book! It just reminded me of the Invention of Wings bys Sue Monk Kidd, another 5-star and on the same storyline
Shoutout to Mr. Bennet for waking me up in this story and be so relatable to myself, yaaass!!
Inner feelings description pretty accurate and really touched me. I will be reading this for sure again in the future because it needs of more analysis because of the difficult language it has.
Pretty much enjoying this read this holidays! #bookishtimes #bringthecoffee
Conrad's description on the darkness of humanity in the colonial era is memorable..
The whole year I've been postponing this read but I'm now making it my priority before the year finishes and I'm really excited to finally get to this classic! Coffee, candles and Heart of Darkness, what a wonderful evening.
One of my absolute favourites of this year! Really captivating deep feelings and so memorable, perfect! I can't even recommend it enough!
Really interesting book, but the middle part was kind of boring. Still, really recommend it as an introduction to Thoreau's writing, and to such a classic.
