This was just the right mix of creepy fairytale, adventure, and warm found family. I‘ve never read T. Kingfisher before but after this one I‘d like to try more.

This was a lot of fun, a very interesting magic system that took me a little bit to understand and the characters were compelling. I am looking forward to the next in the series!
A great sequel to the first book. This series is just so sweet and gentle and the world the live in is so interesting. I definitely recommend!
I loved this book! It was both simple and deep, like a hug. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite books of the year!
I really thought I would like this one, but it failed to connect with me. It was an emotional story, but I had a hard time keeping my interest
This was cute- a little similar to the Hunger Games and Harry Potter, but I enjoyed the alternate pantheon. Definitely leaves you on a cliff hanger- will need to read the next one to see what happens!
Interesting mystery with LGBTQ twist - I enjoyed this one, I was rooting for the lead the whole time.
I really liked the idea of this book, but it fell a bit flat. I found all the characters a bit annoying and felt it left some things hanging.
This was a fun atmospheric murder mystery. A creepy house on a hill, multiple narrators with secrets. I enjoyed this one!
I enjoyed this one, not sure I completely loved the ending, but I enjoyed it the whole way through before that- a creepy Secret Garden!
This was fun! I really enjoyed the fast pace and I enjoyed the snark of the lead character. Definitely recommend!!
This one is just too much for me! Each chapter gets harder to take so it‘s a DNF for me!
I enjoyed the mystery, but I found it a bit predictable and didn‘t really understand why some of the storylines were there.
This was a fun, if somewhat predictable read. Suicide is involved at the beginning, but after that, it was an uplifting story that was a fairly quick read.
A good mystery that takes place around Yellowstone- which leads to good imagery. Not as good as The River or The Dog Stars but still entertaining. I also loved the lead character, she was unique and tough.
This was a fun, fast paced mystery. I flew right through it! It is the start of a series though, so there is a mystery that doesn‘t get solved in this book, so I‘ll have to wait until the next in the series comes out.
I wanted to like this one a lot more than I did, because I loved Station Eleven. But I never really cared about any of the characters and the few times I did start to get attached, they would get dropped for a new connected and I never felt like I got the closure I wanted. I do think I was biased because I liked SE so much, this one couldn‘t compare.
Creepy ghost story that brings in both history of both the Titanic and the Brittanica- I really enjoyed this one! Creepy and well done! I enjoyed her previous book, The Hunger as well!
This was a sweet read about a woman learning to love again after losing her fiancé in an accident. I especially liked the idea of learning to let go of things and how to make taking care of yourself a priority.
This was intense, and not for those with an low gag reflex! In a society where a chosen woman hears confessions of the dying and has to eat the food representing each associated sin upon their death. The new sin eater uncovers a murder conspiracy based on the sins she hears. I enjoyed it this one, kept me guessing a bit!
I really enjoyed this mystery! A rich family on a secluded island, reminded me a bit of the movie Knives Out, but this was definitely not a comedy. I look forward the the second in the series when it comes out!
This was an intense, difficult read, but I‘m giving it a pick because I couldn‘t put it down! Read it in one sitting! Do not read if you are squeamish and there is some animal death. That said, it was completely riveting!
A creepy ghost mystery, I enjoyed this one. This is the second Simone St. James mystery I have enjoyed. Also, I think Willow is a bit over this quarantine!
This was a haunting story that will stick with me for a while. It felt like a fairytale, but was so real in some ways. Recommend it, but only when you want something sad.
This was fun! Fast paced and funny, I flew right through it!
What a heartbreaking mystery! I flew through this one, wanting to know what happens next. It encompasses some really difficult topics, like opioid addiction, with heart. Definitely recommend!
I enjoyed this one! It took me a bit to get into it and to understand what was happening, but the characters were snarky and fun enough I kept going. I think I may read it one more time before the second book comes out in June.
I enjoyed this one! Good follow-up to the Child Finder. Creepy without being over the top. I also really rooted for the little girl and her friends-tough little kids!
A great story about how your past dictates your future. I was rooting for the Fang kids the whole time, even while I was cringing at some of their actions. I can see why this one was a hit!
Interesting mystery set in the middle of winter in Minnesota. It was a little predictable, but I liked how much the setting played into the story.
This was a heartwarming story about children who light on fire when upset. I really enjoyed it! I think I will look for more by this author.
Thank you @Blaire and @MaleficentBookDragon !! I can‘t wait to read this one! Happy Holidays!! #jolabokaflodswap
I liked the idea of this mystery a lot, but it fell off a bit for me midway through. Also, I like series, but hate when they leave too much hanging to the end. I‘m not sure I will continue with the series, but I did love the concept. Also because no one will ever top Clue the movie!!
This was so much fun! A space caper with a group of oddly matched group of young space soldiers who end up on the run to protect one of their own. It was snarky and fast paced, I really enjoyed it!
My #jolabokaflodswap arrived today! I can‘t wait until the 24th! Thank you @Blaire and @MaleficentBookDragon 🎄🎁
This was fun! Told through interviews, the rise and fall of a band in the 70‘s. I read through it pretty quickly and enjoyed the ride!
I really enjoyed this one! It‘s not very often that I find a lead character who suffers from chronic pain and how that narrows your life. As a chronic migraine sufferers, I felt the portrayal was accurate. Also, it was a cute, funny romance.
I just couldn‘t get into this one, the world building was hard for me to follow. I think it was just not the right book for me right now. Will maybe pick up again at some point in the future.
Hey @MaleficentBookDragon and @BookieBiker my #JolabokaflodSwap is on it‘s way!!
This was a great quick holiday thriller! A Christmas party in an isolated mansion with a bad history- lots of fun!
I think the first three in the series were better. This one felt a bit more like a formula to me. I still like characters and will keep reading the series.
This was really well written, but a bit too tough for me! I think this was just a not for me book.
Haunting collection of short stories. Each one left me wanting just a little bit more.
I flew through this one! I loved the idea of horseback riding librarians spreading reading to people who don‘t have access. It wraps up almost too tidily, but was also satisfying. Trigger warning for domestic abuse.
A great post-apocalyptic journey through the forest to get to grandmothers house! This was creepy and suspenseful- I really enjoyed it. Will definitely check out more by this author!
This was a cute paranormal romance, I read through it in an afternoon! I am hoping there are future stories with the rest of the leads family, they would to get to know more!
Part of me really enjoyed reading the perspective of a unique woman who lives in a mostly empty village high in the mountains, but part of me couldn‘t handle the amount of animal death, even though it was a part of the plot. Well written, but difficult for me to read in some places.
I enjoyed this space adventure- aliens, space pirates, psychic cats-it was a fun read! Don‘t be deceived by the cartoonish cover, this read is definitely for adults. I hope the next book has more about the cats!
I enjoyed this second installment of the series. You definitely need to read Bluebird, Bluebird first to understand much of this story.
Such a sad story! A man makes the choice to try and save his family and it has consequences for generations. Told from many different perspectives. Definitely a tear jerker!
