My gosh I loved this so much. 2 years after his death, Sloan is still beholden to the grief of losing her fiancé in a motorcycle accident. Until she finds a dog who leads her to his owner, Jason, who is better known as Jackson a bearded, budding rockstar. This was so good. Jimenez is a rockstar at banter, at romance, and at making me sob through the penultimate moment before the HEA when u think it‘s not gonna work out but it does. Pick!

The guy on the left, Zachary Webber, narrates Jason in the tagged book. The other MC, Sloan, Jason‘s love interest is narrated by a woman. They do their own alternating chapters. There is a lot of banter but when they do their own chapters they also voice the love interest. Like Zachary will voice Sloan and when he does it‘s soooooo cute cause it reminds me of Fred Armisen‘s crazy character from SNL, Regine. Hilarious.

Read in 2024. I discovered Abby Jimenez‘s books last year & read all of them. This was one of my favorites. A heartbreaking story turns into a sweet love story.

This didn‘t quite hit me in the feels the same way her other series did - I feel like she has grown as an author - but I‘ll admit the cinematic ending got me! It‘s a special touch that there is actually a song to go with each chapter. I also would have loved a lot more of their dog! 😁🐶🎧

Speaking of feels, these books have a lot of them. Definitely enjoying my introduction to this author. This book also gave an insight into the world of a famous musician that I didn‘t expect. The emails are very funny. Anyways late night review that doesn‘t make much sense: basically, it is a good book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet and serious. This one had heart.

So flipping cute! I've been watching lots of holiday rom-coms the last week, and this fits right in with them with plenty of adorable scenes and characters. I just felt happy listening to this, and I loved getting to see Sloan's story play out after the first book. It works as a standalone, but I do recommend reading Friend Zone first to fully appreciate Sloan's story and growth.

Abby Jimenez is an amazing storyteller. She has done it again! She continues to amaze me by writing the most wonderfully relatable characters and stories that are not only heartfelt and emotional, but also laugh out loud hilarious. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed Jimenez's books and the immense amount of heart she imbues them with.

What a fun, cute beautiful story! A meet cute by a puppy brings two people together, both flawed in ways and both wanting to do right by the other person, attempts to figure out how to make a relationship work. Beautiful!

🎧 Cute rom-com. I liked the characters and the story was interesting. I really appreciated that there were two narrators. Even when a narrator does different voices the opposite sex just never seems quite right. Enjoyed. 4⭐

I checked this out on a whim because it was available & my next closest hold is still 4 weeks out. And wow! I am so happy I did. I LOVED this book. I am a sap for a good romance & this met all my expectations + some: meet-cute via a dog, snarky funny BFF, song titles each chapter, fun & believable characters, great quotes, & a happily ever after. All the feels 💜💜💜

This was a quick rom-com read that I loved. Flirty with likable characters.

Definitely a pick after some of the other books I have had to read lately. There are need to reads and just for fun reads. This one falls into the second category. A lovable dog brings together a grief stricken woman and a down-to-earth musician. She is just coming back to the world and he is on the cusp of conquering it. Two creative souls find a way to make it work as they discover their unique playlist. ⭐️⭐️⭐️+

Also, this sticker (with shakeable glitter) is way cuter than it has any right to be.

I did read Where The Lost Wander last year and so will not reread it (although it was really good) but I‘m going to start with these 6 and if I have time read the other 3. This was okay. Fluffy with a bit of sadness, a misunderstanding and a grand gesture. I don‘t mind the formula, it‘s why I like romance, but I realized I‘m over beautiful perfect looking people falling in love. For fuck‘s sake. They ALWAYS fall in love, right? But what about the rest of us?
Thankfully the next book I picked up was Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade. Hellooo Curvy!

I spent the entire day (almost) finishing this book. I loved it, but then I am just in a romance mood. This will be, however, the second book done in the #bookspinbingo so yay for that.

This was a sweet read about a woman learning to love again after losing her fiancé in an accident. I especially liked the idea of learning to let go of things and how to make taking care of yourself a priority.

I have been wanting to get my hands on this book since I finished The Friend Zone last year. Can‘t wait to see Sloan get her happy ending!
