'Sweet and achingly romantic - a truly wonderful love story' Beth O'Leary, author of The Flatshare From the USA Today bestselling author of The Friend Zone comes an adorable and fresh romantic comedy about one trouble-making dog who brings together two perfect strangers. Two years after losing her fianc, Sloan Monroe still can't seem to get her life back on track. But one trouble-making pup with a 'take me home' look in his eyes is about to change everything. With her new pet by her side, Sloan finally starts to feel more like herself. Then, after weeks of unanswered texts, Tucker's owner reaches out. He's a musician on tour in Australia. And bottom line: he wants Tucker back. Well, Sloan's not about to give up her dog without a fight. But what if this Jason guy really loves Tucker? As their flirty texts turn into long calls, Sloan can't deny a connection. Jason is hot and nice and funny. There's no telling what could happen when they meet in person. The question is: with his music career on the rise, how long will Jason really stick around? And is it possible for Sloan to survive another heartbreak? Praise for Abby Jimenez: 'The Happy Ever After Playlist tackles love after loss with fierce humour and fiercer heart' Casey McQuiston, New York Times bestselling author of Red, White & Royal Blue 'A deliciously hot, sweet debut. This book is an absolute treat.' L. G. Shen, USA Today Bestselling Author 'Harnessing sass, heartfelt struggle, and unapologetic sexuality, Jimenez's debut is as hysterical as it is tear-jerking' Publishers Weekly 'Let's get one thing straight, Abby Jimenez is hilarious' Goodreads reviewer 'Anyone who thinks they don't like romance needs to read The Friend Zone. It's a game changer' Goodreads reviewer 'In a time when rom-coms can so easily miss the mark, TFZ stands out like a diamond in the rough' Goodreads reviewer 'I laughed, I teared up, and most importantly, I didn't want to put it down' Goodreads reviewer 'It was so refreshing to see a difficult topic like infertility play such a significant role in a romantic comedy' Goodreads reviewer 'Not only is this book hilarious and heartfelt, it felt real' Goodreads reviewer 'Hilarious but also healing' Goodreads reviewer '5 stars isn't enough for this laugh out loud, beautifully honest, and sometimes heart-breaking novel' Goodreads reviewer

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

This didn‘t quite hit me in the feels the same way her other series did - I feel like she has grown as an author - but I‘ll admit the cinematic ending got me! It‘s a special touch that there is actually a song to go with each chapter. I also would have loved a lot more of their dog! 😁🐶🎧

Speaking of feels, these books have a lot of them. Definitely enjoying my introduction to this author. This book also gave an insight into the world of a famous musician that I didn‘t expect. The emails are very funny. Anyways late night review that doesn‘t make much sense: basically, it is a good book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So flipping cute! I've been watching lots of holiday rom-coms the last week, and this fits right in with them with plenty of adorable scenes and characters. I just felt happy listening to this, and I loved getting to see Sloan's story play out after the first book. It works as a standalone, but I do recommend reading Friend Zone first to fully appreciate Sloan's story and growth.

JudeCC 😃 Thanks for the advise! I have both!! Will read Friend Zone first!! 👍 3y
Kaylamburson Oh good!! They're both so good, and I hope you love them! I devoured all three of her books in about a week and a half. @WJCintron 3y
JudeCC @Kaylamburson WOW!! Thanks again! I definitely need to make some time to read them!! 😃 👍 3y

Abby Jimenez is an amazing storyteller. She has done it again! She continues to amaze me by writing the most wonderfully relatable characters and stories that are not only heartfelt and emotional, but also laugh out loud hilarious. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed Jimenez's books and the immense amount of heart she imbues them with.

What a fun, cute beautiful story! A meet cute by a puppy brings two people together, both flawed in ways and both wanting to do right by the other person, attempts to figure out how to make a relationship work. Beautiful!
Such a great playlist to listen to before each chapter.

🎧 Cute rom-com. I liked the characters and the story was interesting. I really appreciated that there were two narrators. Even when a narrator does different voices the opposite sex just never seems quite right. Enjoyed. 4⭐

I checked this out on a whim because it was available & my next closest hold is still 4 weeks out. And wow! I am so happy I did. I LOVED this book. I am a sap for a good romance & this met all my expectations + some: meet-cute via a dog, snarky funny BFF, song titles each chapter, fun & believable characters, great quotes, & a happily ever after. All the feels 💜💜💜

I‘ll definitely read her other books

4th book & well over 20hrs for #20in4 🎉

Definitely a pick after some of the other books I have had to read lately. There are need to reads and just for fun reads. This one falls into the second category. A lovable dog brings together a grief stricken woman and a down-to-earth musician. She is just coming back to the world and he is on the cusp of conquering it. Two creative souls find a way to make it work as they discover their unique playlist. ⭐️⭐️⭐️+

Also, this sticker (with shakeable glitter) is way cuter than it has any right to be.

#NewYearWhoDis out of the 10 books listed these are what I‘m starting with. I did read Where The Lost Wander last year and so will not reread it (although it was really good) but I‘m going to start with these 6 and if I have time read the other 3. Thanks for the list @BayouGirl85 and for organizing a great challenge! @monalyisha

monalyisha Exciting! I‘ll be reading the Matt Haig, too. 😊 4y
CocoReads I received it in a Once Upon a book club box, maybe November‘s? Shipping this year has been wonky and I can‘t keep track. At any rate, I get books faster than I can read them and one of my goals for 2021 is to catch up on subscription boxes so that‘ll be one down! 4y

This was okay. Fluffy with a bit of sadness, a misunderstanding and a grand gesture. I don‘t mind the formula, it‘s why I like romance, but I realized I‘m over beautiful perfect looking people falling in love. For fuck‘s sake. They ALWAYS fall in love, right? But what about the rest of us?
Thankfully the next book I picked up was Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade. Hellooo Curvy!

I spent the entire day (almost) finishing this book. I loved it, but then I am just in a romance mood. This will be, however, the second book done in the #bookspinbingo so yay for that.

This was a sweet read about a woman learning to love again after losing her fiancé in an accident. I especially liked the idea of learning to let go of things and how to make taking care of yourself a priority.
