What I liked best was learning about “The Reno Cure” where women would go live in Reno, Nevada for 6 weeks in order to establish residency & get an uncontested divorce. Set in 1952, 3 women follow #TheCallOfDestiny (one more reluctantly than the others) to new lives in a time when it wasn‘t easy to take a different path than the happily ever after they expected. Seeing as how I scrolled through PAGES of this title in order to select a specific cover, and purposely did not order any of the scores of cheaper listings featuring the cover on the right, I‘m seriously annoyed. 🤬

Love love the show Merlin 🧙♂️; sad it no longer runs. It was a good wholesome show, featuring the friendship between Merlin and King Arthur!
One of the best books I‘ve read. Hands down. President Garfield was assassinated rather early into his presidency. However, Millard argues that the assassin‘s bullet was not the cause of his death. What follows is a riveting, jaw dropping look at medicine and doctor‘s practices of the late 19th century. It‘s so well written and so well informed, a perfect blend of narrative nonfiction and well documented research. #TheCallOfDestiny #SoaringScores
#TheCallOfDestiny is from TV series Merlin, which was, apparently, about a young magician in the court of Camelot, and not about an aeroplane engine used in one of the most iconic aircraft ever made - the Spitfire. I may be a bit of an Avgeek....
