My niece knows she can borrow any book from my shelves and she has borrowed these 3 from me more than once so I have made sure to buy her, her own copies for her own shelves to help build up her library.

-Tiny Beautiful Things went to a friend who did a Big, Hard Life Thing and maybe it's cliche, but it felt right.

-I've given Old Possum's book at a few baby showers. It's as silly as the rhymes of Dr. Seuss with the bonus of Edward Gorey's impeccable, imaginative artwork.

-Love is a Mix Tape went to a few soul mates who have big, cheesy hearts and a particular way of loving music.

(2) The Golden Compass, for my sister
(3) Nagy szamárfül (Big Dog-ear), for my dad, which is one of the best gifts my sis and I have ever given him for Fathers' day. He's not much of a reader but he was so happy with this collection of poetry by his favourite poet that he carried it everywhere for a while ☺️

I find it hard to buy novels for friends, as I‘m always worried they already own or have read it (and also worry that they won‘t enjoy it!) Too much pressure!

So I go with books that feel special, or are about something they love.... These are books I‘ve gifted to some lovely Littens 💕

All these books I have gifted to my cousins on various occasions.
