pickMan, I blew through this series this weekend! Books 1 & 2 rounded out my #pantslessreadathon on Monday, then I spent my evening yesterday and today on Book 3. There are a LOT of triggers in these books centered around all kinds of violence, but they're also solid sports novels centered on teamwork and redemption.
Reading about human murders never phases me but I have to skip the descriptive whale killings and seal killings in this book. What does that say about ME?😬 #pantslessreadathon #bookandcakeandicecream

so-soEh. I didn't care for the narrator addressing me directly, nor did I know what was happening a lot of the time. It's short, and a fairly quick read, though. Maybe if I knew more about Gauguin? Maybe if it weren't stream-of-consciousness? Dunno.
Book 7 of the #pantslessreadathon. Had to come in my bedroom and lay down for awhile. And had to wear pants all day - the whole front of my house is practically windows, don't want to scare neighbors!
This book is good so far. I'm about half way through. Had some weird lunch cravings today. If you haven't tried your favorite tuna salad with corn chips, you must. #bookandlunch #pantslessreadathon

pickMy #pantslessreadathon hasn't been super vigorous (nor pantless, for the most part) but I've gotten myself out of my reading slump and read two books over two days! Tonight I revisited Louise Penny's Inspector Gamanche series and felt like I was visiting old friends. Someone else at the library must be on the same binge as me though -- I'm always #1 of 1 holds for the next book! 😂
