I really enjoyed this breezy history of bookstores in the U.S., from colonial days to the present (shoutout to my local indie, RJ Julia Booksellers, which garnered a mention!). It took me a month because I didn‘t read it straight through — I dipped into it a chapter or a section at a time. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves books about bookstores —and nonfiction.

I‘ve been stuck reading neuroscience and psychology textbooks, but now I‘m on winter break!!! Naturally, I devoured a historical fiction brimming with WWII heartbreak, a bookshop and one of my favourite cities. A cozy and lovely read to start off my winter

I think I preferred the first book, the Jane Austen Society, but I still found it an enjoyable read. I like reading books set in bookshops. It was lovely to see certain characters again and to meet new ones. I like the inclusion of real life personalities, too, like Daphne du Maurier. I can recommend these books.

I have been so grateful for this community this past week. I spent more time here than I have in a long time and now I remember why I love it so much. This election cycle and the toxic waste from all other social media platforms almost did me in. But this community has people who are the complete opposite of toxic. Thank you. 💙

Tilly & Milo prepare for a final showdown with the Alchesmist. Horatio is trapped in an enchanted sleep so this leaves Milo to live his own adventure. This journey leads Milo and friends to the Treehouse library - home of the Botanist, enemy of the Alchemist.
They journey in to some classic children‘s books looking for clues to help them prepare to battle with the Alchemist. I still love the idea of book wandering and travelling to magical places

Thank you @DGRachel - you‘re the best. I‘ve only read the first 20 pages and I know this will be on my best of the year pile. It‘s sooooo good 👍🏼
