Hard to narrow it down to 3 but:

1️⃣ The tagged book is set in Kauai & I love the combo of memoir, science/plants & history. 🌺

2️⃣ The View From the Cheap Seats-Neil Gaiman essays, many about writing & books—what‘s not to love? ✍️🖤

3️⃣ I‘ll Be Gone in the Dark: Amazing true crime (I had to read it in daylight) but the whole story around Michelle McNamara & the Golden State Killer, wow! 😱

I can‘t express how thankful for Litsy I am and some of the friendships that have happened bc of it. Even though we‘ve never met irl some of you guys really are friends! ❤️

Finished the tagged on audio this AM while waiting on dr appt. It‘s a good 2nd book, though set in Kawaii instead of NM (mc on vacay). It‘s a little dated, & I don‘t love the reader (she doesn‘t pull off 30-something well — she sounds a bit older & it makes it a little awkward), but def getting #3 anyway 😁

So ordered that, #2 in the Gunnie Rose series, & Yesternight (thanks to Chelle 😳) right away.

Also bought this gorgeous #Octunnumi 😍

Kauai is one of my favorite places & this book is a favorite too. It‘s about the author‘s #JourneyToTheIsland to work at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens there. 🌺

Finding a book with #FoodorBeverageonthecover for #Booked2019 #Spring was surprisingly difficult. Thank heavens for kindle sales during my “Hawaii” phase. Unfortunately other than ticking that box (ha!) this wasn‘t a great read. The characters are interesting and the setting is amazing but mystery was obvious and most of the plot turns on stupidity & abrogating common sense. I‘m not a huge cozy mystery fan & it‘s not bad but... not for me.

Okay - you can‘t do THAT with a print book!!!

It was humid and hazy this weekend, so aside from some patio sitting--giving Max some yard time, I didn't spend much time with a book and nature. Instead I have two non-fiction books about nature. I'm currently reading The Plant Messiah and the tagged book is a personal favorite--about a woman who moves to Kauai to work at the National Tropical Botanical Garden. Both are interesting reads. 🌺🌿

Even with our 6.5 month old, experimental vacation has been a relative success. Sad to be headed home tomorrow. #audioknitting #kauai
