EadieB Cass is an unreliable narrator as she isn't telling the truth. The story is about narcissistic personality disorder and how it manifests in a dysfunctional family. The characters are very manipulative and the plot is one that keeps you reading to the satisfying ending. You just need to read this book. If you love psychological suspense then you will love this book. 2y

Two sisters disappear. Three years later one comes back. Stories and lies are interwoven. There may be a crime. Someone has a narcissistic personality disorder. Who to believe? I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the book. Also, I enjoyed wanting to know more of what was going on.

Cinfhen Hearts is on my TBR, I'm taking a break from thrillers so I passed on Dark Lake & I thought Emma was ok but nothing special. Can't wait to hear your thoughts 7y

Lizpixie I wasn't a fan of The Dark Lake at all. The thriller part wasn't bad but the main character drove me nuts. 7y

Bookaddictpnw I found Emma to be quite formulaic. Heart's Invisible Furies is truly a masterpiece tho!! Made me laugh and cry - it is powerful. 7y

Though this isn't without its issues - sometimes-uneven pacing chief among them - I do have to say that it kept me guessing every step of the way. It's engaging (though at times just plain disturbing), and I did enjoy it. Flew through it in a day. #emmainthenight #wendywalker
