I both read and listened to this book.
It was really good! It was engaging and horrible at the same time. It was a mixture of Handmaid's Tale with Lord of the Flies. This is my favorite read for this month. 4 ⭐️

The beautiful cover caught my attention. The story was okay: A Rapunzel retelling where a vampire and a witch were enemies but were not always so. It had more potential but it felt a little flat for me. However, the audio production was well done. 3 ⭐️

I had to finish this one and learn the truth behind the main character. The story somewhat reminded me of Jane Eyre though it was a different story. There were some slow parts for me but the last few chapters were exhilarating. I give this 3.5 ⭐️

I had no idea that the movie was based on a book. It has been years since I've seen the movie but I have to say, this book is way tamer.

The characters are being hunted for something they did last summer. At first they don't want to accept what is happening to them, but they quikly learn that they can't escape their past.

The first part of the book was ok but the ending was pretty suspenseful. This version was updated from the original. 3.5 ⭐️

This was a story possession story with Chicana characters from Texas. It had an interesting twist to the "spirit" possessing Fernanda. It has a feminist twist that explores sexuality and coming of age. The things Fernanda did were horrifying but the storybhad me hooked! 4 ⭐️

Bk20 of August & Bk9 of #LittensDressedInBlood is done! It‘s also my last #BookspinBingo book for August & happens to be my #Bookspin book from March & gave me two #bingos on this months board. Not bad from one book. It was a good horror read, not as good as her Alice series or anywhere near her last book, Near The Bone, but still very creepy.
