so-soThis story was OK, but a lot of times I just felt like I was wasting my time since it felt like something I‘ve read before.
The main character, Shelly, was annoying sometimes but I do have to applaud her stubbornness to get what she wanted.
I recommend this book if you are looking for a quick read and don‘t care much about a plot.

so-soI thought parts of this were funny, but, even though I knew it was satirical, Shelly still drove me crazy. I have read and loved all of Amy Fusselman's other books, which have all been nonfiction and extremely short. The writing in this novel is still snappy and sharp, but I just wasn't completely sold.
pickLitsy makes me hyper aware of titles and authors. I was out thrifting books and noticed this as a 2021 published book. What the heck, for $2 add it to my beach read stack. What I didn‘t notice until I started reading was why it hit the discount stores. It was bound all cattywampus! It‘s also the 7th in a series I haven‘t read. But, with all that I thought it a good read. Maybe I‘ll work my way back to the first.

This is our beach house which is on Ocean City Yacht and Golf Course. We were there last week and we are looking forward to going back soon. It is a zen place and very restful there. Great place to read. You can walk on the golf course after 6pm when the golfing is done. This is the view from my back yard. Assateague Island is 2 miles away.

pickA predictable beach read that has the usual family drama, romance and beach descriptions embedded throughout. Set in the low country of South Carolina, this one also shows the author‘s love for loggerhead turtles and conservation. Pleasant read and enjoyable storyline.
