I read the Beach House but not this book!

A predictable beach read that has the usual family drama, romance and beach descriptions embedded throughout. Set in the low country of South Carolina, this one also shows the author‘s love for loggerhead turtles and conservation. Pleasant read and enjoyable storyline. 2. I love both, but swimming for sure.

3. Not too bad. Sunny, cooler than the 100° heat index yesterday, typical summer day in Ohio.

4. Different fruit-flavored iced teas or lemonades.

5. I grew up always having a pool, so getting to swim for the entire day with my siblings and friends, then passing out on the living room floor after feeding our faces was how I spent most of my summer days 😊

Bagel and a book to start off my Monday.

Starting this today. It‘s been a great May for books!!

BEACH HOUSE REUNION was a very pleasant, heartwarming read that made you want to for the most part be in the Rutledge family and in Primrose Cottage as well as Sullivan's Island.

Everything about the book was comfy and inviting.

The characters and the beachy setting were quite pleasant.

Selling books at a talk with three of our store‘s favorite three-named ladies, Mary Kay Andrews, Mary Alice Monroe, and Patti Callahan Henry.

It reminded me of a Hallmark movie. The characters felt familiar and I could imagine curling up on the couch to chat with them with them, or taking a stroll on the beach with them. I felt sadness and loss with them, as well as excitement and contentment. The writing was easy and I especially loved reading about the turtles - the blurbs at the beginning of each chapter were perfect additions!

Good start for my summer reading! A little predictable at times. But very enjoyable.
