1-over the years, we‘ve had 5 dogs, 10 cats, gerbils, turtles, and fish
2-I love stories with horses, dogs, cats, and other pets
3-tagged is a Newbery winner: dog who unwittingly becomes a hero to a park full of animals. Johannes, a free dog, lives in an urban park by the sea. His job is to be the Eyes—to see everything that happens within the park and report back to the park‘s elders, three ancient Bison.

Thanks @Eggs for the #WondrousWednesday tag. 🤗 I‘m a little late as usual.
1️⃣ The tagged book wrecked me emotionally as it hit too close to home & felt so real.😱 The Frozen River was a favorite & I keep thinking about it. The Feather Thief was just so interesting, I‘ve recommended it to several people.
2️⃣ I haven‘t DNFed so far this year! So far so good.
I‘m late so if you haven‘t played & want to, consider yourself tagged. 🤗
1) tagged book
2) A Time for Defiance - too much military/fighting WWII & rather pathetic sister left behind in England. Probably others but this was a recent DNF

1. There were 2 I read that I think are unforgettable: Piranesi and The Starless Sea. I never understood what was going on in either of them. It felt like I was in a dream the whole time while reading both of them but I liked that about both of them too.
2. Unholy Obsessions by CM Radcliff. This book is a dark romance. The 2 main characters in the book didn‘t have romantic chemistry and I didn‘t like the sex scenes at all.

📗 I loved The Briar Club (tagged) so much! It features my favorite trope of found family and a wide array of strong, female characters. So good!
📕 I couldn‘t get through Anxious People. I just couldn‘t get into it🤷🏻♀️

1. Well I loved book 3 and 5 of the ACOTAR series but tagged might take the lead!
2. None so far this year!

1) Beautyland (tagged) was amazing. Felt like a hug in book form.
2) Hard Times by Dickens. Just couldn‘t do it.
1. I have had 5 5🌟 reads so far in 2025, which is amazing! I finished the tagged today on audio and was absolutely drawn in.
2. I moved Orbital back to my to-read, I was excited by others on my TBR, but I do think I‘ll get back to Orbital at some point. No absolute DNF for 2025 yet - that‘s a win!

Thank you for the tag @Kshakal
🩵 I've already read so many great books this year, but Now in November by Josephine Winslow Johnson is one that I still think about.
🩵 I haven't had to DNF a book yet! I did pause Somewhere Beyond the Sea because I've had trouble concentrating on audiobooks, but that was a me problem.
