Troll: A Love Story | Johanna Sinisalo

Pickpick

This was my #FoodAndLit pick for #Finland

I liked the way the story was set out, where you learn more about Trolls as the story progresses, through snippets of stories, web searches, a vet, and as Angel discovers things by living with a troll he rescued by his apartment block.

The characters are all awful by the way 😂 but I still enjoyed the read!

I had read this once before, but forgotten most of it, so this reread was a lovely reminder of what a delightful story this is! Highly recommend 🚂📚

I really like how the author made the “bad characters“ not too scary, it seemed very appropriate for young children.

The billy goats must outsmart the fearsome troll who guards the bridge, using their own wit and bravery to make it across the bridge.

This is a classic tale of bravery and cleverness. It teaches the value of teamwork in overcoming obstacles and facing fears.
