pickAbsolutely delightful! Annie‘s sweet earnestness, paired with Will‘s tattoo-covered heart of gold personality created the perfect blend for great chemistry. This is my first by this author, and it made for the perfect vacation read. Fun and just enough character development to make it work. I loved watching Annie and Will figure out how they saw themselves versus how the world sees them and find the balance of who they really were.
pickSweet, tender, and soul-stirring. It moved me to read about characters who could truly see and understand each other in a deeper level. Made me root for both characters. Lots of quotes that will warm your heart and fill you with positivity. Emotionally rewarding to read.

I read this one via library ebook & put it on my hold list based on the author who I love for her Rockton & Haven‘s Rock series. This is Armstrong‘s first foray into romance & it is an overall good rom-com about an author who comes up with a male non de plume to get her first novel published & has to hire someone to play him for publicity & gets in deep when the book takes off. Rather than the arrogant actor ⬇️

We have a GoT style TV show, a sff/gaming convention, tabletop D&D, feminism, computer gaming and both characters growing in a realistic way.
I really liked all the characters (with a few obvious exceptions).
