#hyggehourreadathon (from last night!).
I started this book about grief. It was on my StoryGraph recommendations and I plowed through about a third of it yesterday.
Beautifully written and devastating depiction of losing your wife at a vulnerable time, during childbirth. The main character struggles as a new mother, alone.
It‘s got a dystopian flavour, and is lgbtqia. Definitely up my alley, thanks StoryGraph algorithm.

It‘s autumn outside but it‘s the heat of July in my book. Blazing through this compelling story of the events of summer 1961 in New Bremen, Minnesota. A mystery, a coming of age tale, a historical fiction - whatever it is, I want to see where it‘s going. #hyggehourreadathon

Tonight I‘m spending #hyggehourreadathon in one of my favorite spots for reading. I‘m lounging on the living room couch, watching/listening to the baseball game, with a belly full of Mexican food. I‘m reading a book that‘s due tomorrow, so I can finish it and start the book I checked out from the library today. I hope I don‘t fall asleep! #sundayfunday
so-soI have very mixed feelings about this book. I did finish it but parts were just annoying. Parts felt tired. There were a couple characters i was curious about, and a few directions of the story i was also curious about. It‘s a very ppopular fantasy romantasy on goodreads- just not one i love. #hyggehourreadathon
