My supervisor approved this display on the condition that I wouldn‘t refer to it as CliFi 🤭 (I wasn‘t going to - I was just saying!! 🤣)
I was quite pleased at being able to curate a list of 55 titles for this display. I think the list would have done better if it had been on the catalogue (rather than just in one branch) but there has been a bit of movement.
Happy Earth Day! 🌎
Thanks @TheSpineView for the #Two4Tuesday tag!🤗
1️⃣ Yes, I always carry some hidden cash “just in case” & small bills for tips & places like the library book store that only take cash.
2️⃣ Having just reread TGG last month, it‘s definitely a book where every character is affected by money. Old or new 💵shapes their love lives & relationships, social standing & overall perception of happiness.💰

For your humble consideration. 😊

When I think of books with #ParentChildLove Little Women comes to mind quickly. Marmee had great love for her daughters & they for her.
(The 1994 movie version is my nostalgic favorite, but the 2019 version is also excellent).

Finally, a score I can (sort of) live with. I definitely need to up my classics game!
Three favorites include:
1. THE SECRET GARDEN. A favorite since childhood.
2. TESS OF THE D'URBERVILLES. Read this with #hashtagbrigade, and it was my favorite book of 2023!
3. TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Since I was required to read it in high school. A favorite to have taught as well.
