A slow-paced, contemplative novel about life running a bookshop. We meet various characters and discover the roots of their hopes, wistfulness and melancholy.

More vibes than plot, this was nonetheless a cosy read.

A major theme was work and the way it can both drain or enrich a life.

A sweet, gently philosophical read that celebrates books and coffee.

Morr_Books I know you are soso about this book, but it is so pretty. 😀 20h
Prairiegirl_reading I finished and loved both We‘ll Prescribe You A Cat and Before the Coffee Gets Cold in February. Have you read either of those? 18h
RaeLovesToRead @Morr_Books Oh yeah, 100% 😊 The cover is gorgeous! 10h

RaeLovesToRead @Prairiegirl_reading I've read Before the Coffee gets cold and the first sequel. I loved it. You can almost taste the coffee 😌 If you actually think about the time travel mechanics it doesn't exactly add up but SO WHAT hahaha 💕 10h
RaeLovesToRead @Prairiegirl_reading I tend to avoid books with cat in the title because I can't cope if anything bad happens to a cat in a book so I would be reading the whole thing worried 😅 10h
Prairiegirl_reading Nothing bad happens to the cats! I wouldn‘t love that. 😊 I was just wondering because I was thinking about reading this one soon and thinking these were maybe comps. This cozy genre is new to me and I NEED MORE!!! 8h
RaeLovesToRead @Prairiegirl_reading In my latest video I do declare that cosy isn't for me because I need more of a hook, however, I would suggest this one if you don't need plot and just want vibes! The characters are all quite melancholy so it isn't overly saccharine, and it had more depth than Dallergut Dream Department Store. So yeah... it was sweet 😊💕 32m

I didn't post my colour list as I'm using the same one each month - probably boring to see it posted each month, lol. Here are my March #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin picks. I had quite a few books I could pick from with both these prompts which was a nice change from some of the previous colours. It's been really fun doing colours of covers - allows for more freedom in selections which is working well for me.

Pickpick

When you‘ve adored Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, do you delve into the author‘s backlist, or keep the love with TTT? Turns out it is ok to keep reading, I absolutely loved this one too. A completely different book to TTT, this was short, sweet and gave me several love stories I didn‘t know I was looking for. It leaves the best possible bookish-hug feeling. If you need a winter pick me up, highly recommend 💙

Meet Emily who in her own words is as dopey as a potato. She has ditched her job as a Librarian in the US to go to Ireland and help her favorite author write the last book of her favorite childhood series.

Once in Ireland, Emily quickly meets the son of her favorite author and his bulging arms and deep eyes have her in full on giddy mode.

And so the romance begins

Average read.
