I have mixed feelings with this book. It is very predictable and I think was too long with repetitive of unnecessary details. Also I didn‘t like much Matt with his explosive character where he easily offended Kate twice. But besides those comments, the novel was so funny: Kate‘s mom😳🙄, her dates😆her relationship with Laura, the town gossips☺️At least in those blind dates there were staff present in their first date😅. Love Drew! 34⭐️

My friend told me this is one of her favourite books. I have read a couple other books she has recommended and disliked them, and unfortunately, I disliked this one too. I think it‘s time to admit that our reading tastes differ wildly 😂

In World of Wonders, Nezhukumatathil admits to once licking a piece of quartz as a child. She reports that “it tasted like campfire smoke.” If that‘s not eating (with) the earth, I don‘t know what is. She‘s clearly one of these “best” people & her book reflects her superlative nature. Just gorgeous.

A big thank you to the lovely @DinoMom who sent me this book for the #Bestof2020Swap. Unfortunately, I didn‘t like it.

As respectfully as possible, I am rating this memoir 2 ⭐️. I think Jacob Tobia‘s story is an important one, but unfortunately, they just came across as too self-absorbed and braggy. I really wish they had addressed their own privileges (i.e. their race and class privilege) and accepted responsibility for some of their failures⬇️

@sebrittainclark sent this to me as part of my #bestof2020 box and I just finished it. I loved it! I‘ve been out of the dating game for a really long time but the relationship between Rhi and Samson was fantastic. There was romance, yes, but there was a lot of other things going on. Business, trust issues, standing up for yourself, speaking out, etc. I‘ve read a couple of Rai‘s other books but this one is my favorite so far!

It is cold and rainy here today so the slipper socks, tea, and hot cocoa will be put to good use. I have hidden the cashews from the #manpanion. 😝 They are just for me.
