Did I not also live this unnatural life for ten months? Thus, to that question asked six thousand years ago by Ecclesiastes, “That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out?” only two men now have the right to answer: Captain Nemo and myself.

The story did pick up toward the end, but it took a long time to get there.

I actually liked this book. The story is written for middle grade- but as the characters in the story age i do wish the voice of the story aged also - so that is my main critique. In this one there are serious injuries that require healing. I think i would have liked more of the other characters in the story too- but i did enjoy the direction this book took.

I really am enjoying all the different character groups, elves, trolls, goblins, dwarves. I enjoy the world building and alliances. I love the characters that have some complex struggles with EVERYTHING! The series continues and I‘m really glad even though it is sort of formulaic.

I think this book would be best read like an ordinary children‘s books but I think it‘d be fun to read this in front of the whole class to see the reactions.

This was a very interesting little book and I like the illustrations that went along with it. This book reminds me of a Shel Silverstein book and I think the children will really enjoy it.

This book could be really good lesson in the beginning of the year to help students learn the importance of making new friends and keeping friends.

Loaded with several humorous visual details, a fantastic #gazingbook. A definite reread for details.
