5✨ This was such a cute story. Julia is a hard working young lady trying to give herself a better life. She has a regular Scrooge living next door to her that her best friend suggests to kill with kindness. She then proceeds to blog about the experience titling it 12 days of Christmas where she will be kind to him for the next 12 days to Christmas. I‘m starting to think these holiday romances might not be for me 😣. Like the last Macomber I listened to this one started out great and then quickly dissolved into unrealistic and insanely quick romance between a slightly silly woman and an insanely childish and rude man. And everything wrapped up way too quickly. I‘ve still got a few more of these on my list so we‘ll see if they get better 🤷🏼‍♀️. 🌟🌟💫 +26 pts #wintergames #mistletoemaniacs

Loveable Christmas novel!!

I was getting a little worried that I wouldn‘t meet my #2020GoodreadsChallenge so I sought out shorter audiobooks. Was able to hit my goal with a timely Christmas title by Debbie Macomber. Think I‘m going to scale down for 2021.

Oh my I absolutely loved this book. I picked random Debbir Macomber christmas books for December and I am so glad I picked this. It is such a heartwarming story of a young lady who changes a man's heart.

I found this book enjoyable but also lacking. I didn't enjoy the end, I felt the conflict was over to quickly. I didn't care for the main female character, she made some very selfish desicions and seemed to be completely clueless at times. On the other hand if you are looking for a quick feel good romance this book is that.

Starting my first winter/Christmas themed book of the season!

Nope. I have been in a light and fluffy mood lately, with a little more romance than usual. This was so saccharine and cliche and annoying, I bailed. Hero was moody and rude; heroine was perky, perfect, and a bit stalker-like. Nope. My first Debbie Macomber and definitely my last.

Cozied up in my armchair with early afternoon coffee, fleece pajamas and a very fluffy Christmas novel. Yay vacation!

Book club pick for December is done, and early. Easy fast read. Fun if a bit weak.

This was a fun and quick read and full of Christmas cheer! I knew a slice of relationship angst was going to be in here so I was bracing myself for half the book 😅. The angst is minimal yet heart wrenching. And the chemistry and banter is fabulous. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a cute, light read. Perfect for this time of year! This book has the Scrooge-like grumpy character, the bubbly character trying to spread some Christmas spirit, the unlikely romance that enfolds between them, and it sends the message of the importance of kindness. Just like a Hallmark holiday movie.

Normally, I don‘t mind cheesy romances or easy-reads at all, I actually enjoy them! This book was very cute and sweet, and the premise of the story was good. However, Macomber has a way of writing dialogue that annoys me. It sounds forced and unnatural, and the main character (Julia) often overreacted. I found myself enjoying some parts, and completely eye-rolling other scenes. It was just average for me! #HolidayRead #WinterGames #TeamFestivus

This was pretty standard Macomber Christmas fare - enjoyable and fluffy. My only big question - who names their child Cain?! The first named murderer in the Bible isn't usually a popular name choice!

This was a light, fun, quick read; most importantly though was crossing it off the TBR Mountain 🤓

You can always count on Debbie Macomber to give you a sweet romance that will warm your soul and Twelve Days of Christmas doesn‘t disappoint. Macomber‘s books tend to read like a Hallmark movie. Her plots are fun and her characters likable. This fast read is perfect to get you into the holiday spirit. 3***
